The location is very nice on the pond. We just had a drink but the service was basically non existent which is strange for the neighbourhood which caters a more demanding customer. Too bad, but hopefully management sees that business could be better with decent service.

Quite disappointed. I visited this place a year ago, and at the time it served delicious traditional Russian food in a very charming decor. Now all the charm is gone, and they serve sushi and Indian food... Not bad but really not as good as it used to be. Service was slow and prices were quite high. But the site... More

I been at this restaurant a half years ago with my wife, and I liked the unusual menu. But a month ago the concept of the restaurant has been changed and it became like other restaurants in Moscow with good quality but not with original kitchen. All is tasty, but nothing more - tomorrow you will not remember what you... More

In the heart of Moscow, the Pavilion's terrace tables are absolutely at the water's edge, where ducks and swans have attracted mothers and children since pre revolutionary times, and the spirits of Bulgakov's Master and Margarita roam through the tree-lined paths. A great place to enjoy an after work, or evening cocktail or glass of prosecco as the sun sets... More

I am not saying that it is a bad restaurant, but as a high-class, the service should not be poor like that. While we were paying the bill, the waitress use one-hand to gap the check and money! When we leave the restaurant, no one say thank you and goodbye to us, and the most worst thing is that one... More

Pavillion is located on the bank of Patriarchie pond, a very historical and picturesque area of "old Moscow". Dining by the pond in a park, watching swans swim by and people strolling - one can almost forget that one is sitting in the middle of huge city. very relaxing Food is somewhat expensive, although not overly so. The menu presents... More

When have older folks visiting, take them here for dinner. Seat by the window to get great view of the pond. Best wild mushrooms soup I ever had - great with vodka in winter. Nice presentation, OK wine list. Music can be weird - they play nostalgic Soviet tunes. Crowd is a mix of an occasional hipster, some family celebrating... More

Despite the reasonable (but pricey) food, we had a very strange experience here. Not only did they forget to bring my starter, but they refused to take it of the bill in the end. The horrible dinner music (think loud MIDIs) also didn't help. Location is very nice though.

Really good Russian food for my opinion I think the price is little excessive but we paid for all. With nice environment, the personal are really nice and take care of you. They serve everything even bread with butter like in france. It's restaurant we do for special occasion.

Staying in Patriarch Ponds

Neighborhood Profile
Patriarch Ponds
When you need to hide from the city’s noise and traffic but don’t want to stroll too far, Patriarch Ponds is the place to be. Calm water, friendly swans and ducks with beautiful early 20th century architecture in the background make this neighborhood a place you’ll never want to leave. Besides stylish bars and restaurants scattered in the streets around the pond, you’ll be able to enjoy museum life from modern art to a former private apartment of Mikhail Bulgakov. As most of the businesses are open late, stop for a cocktail and then stroll by the pond to rent a boat and row yourself to the middle of the “bowl” as the locals call it.
