The Old Tower/Staraya Bashnya is a good restaurant in a great location. When you enter, there is immediately a coat room with attendant, and a hallway with an elevator at the end. Going up the elevator, you enter into the upper part of the tower,...More

We stumbled upon this restaurant almost by accident and in desperation (looking for somewhere decent to eat at 21.00!). The dishes portrayed on the board outside did the restaurant no favours and we thought we were going into a second rate cafe but we were...More

It was my first dinner in Moscow after 17 years and I must say it will be one of the best memories of my trip. The location is just great: you'd think to be in an old medieval castle, so it's a pity to have...More

The building itself is interesting, and everything is kept in atmosphere of medieval castle - even the way waiters dress. They are very polite, and watching clients carefully, so they are always in time at the table. The only problem for me was food -...More

I highly recommend this place for Russian food. Our server ( unfortunately don’t remember his name) was the best as well as the gentleman at the coat check. Food quality is very good. It’s location inside the tower which makes it very cozy.

This place is such a gem, frequented by Russians and foreigners alike. Evgeny is a phenomenal waiter, and I always can't wait to see him when I go to Moscow. Incredible view of the area north of the Kremlin. Excellent Russian food.

When you are looking for a Russian Restaurant, go here and you can eat local food. Fast service and good price-quality! Try the pancakes with kaviar and a glas of real Russian Wodka!

I visited this restaurant with my colleague last week evening on Monday. We enjoyed a conventional Russian cuisine such as borscht and Kiev-style cutlets very much with calm and comfortable atmosphere. Since our table is located first floor near window, we could see a projection...More

It could be reaaly wonderful. But go there and book in advance. I would say 40 to 50 dollars per head. Some enlish skopen , so best to organize ahead. They have a nice room for groups.
