Had a business dinner here. Big selection of traditional Russisn food, very nice atmosphere inside as well as in the garden. Food, especially the selection of starters, was of high quality

This is a nice place. You can sit outside in a covered area or go inside to the restaurant that has a old house feel going on. Food was excellent. Waitress could cheer up a bit though!

Good food with a big selection of traditional russian meals. But some dishes and drinks listed on the menue were not available. Service does not match expectations. Nice outside terrace. Overpriced. You can find lots of much better and less snobbish restaurants in Moscow.

Have been here twice throughout our stay in the capital. Excellent freshly cooked national food, perfect service, and a magnificent terrace. Just fabulous. Interior is quite chic, aristocratic style. We loved it!

I went there with some business partners. Great service, good food, very nice setting outside. The food is pretty much local Russian cuisine, lots of veggies, meat and fish. As a main course I went for the beef filet which was absolutely on point.

Western traveller in Moscow, this restaurant was recommended by a local and I was extremely impressed. The menu is seasonal and included some very exciting dishes like bear steak and roast goose. All of the food was superb, The only comparable experience I've had cost literally £100's per person in a michelin star restaurant. First class service, great recommendations, beautiful... More

Oblomov is one of the few upscale restaurants that serve traditional Russian food in Moscow. The menu offers a large variety of Russian specialties. Most dishes are old fashioned or rare (bear meat!) and that's what makes the place interesting. The classically decorated interior is really nice. Unfortunately the food is not that good. While my crab salad was delicious,... More

This is a tourist trap. Overpriced extras abound on the menu, which hardly qualifies as Russian cuisine (lots of Georgian and Ukrainian food, though). You'll hear mostly English when you arrive--that's your first hint. This is one of those restaurants that knows its customers are one-time visitors, and treats them as such. The food is mediocre (my soup was lukewarm... More

I went to Oblomov with a single mission - to taste bear meat. And I very happily done it :) Bear meat is unexpected - bit like crossover between goose meat & beef cheek So I managed to eat very tasty roasted bear meat. Small duck liver pastry for a starter & glass of decent red wine. 2500 rubles for... More

Our Russian host brought us to this restaurant. It means that one may expect lots of salads and bites, the Russian way. A perfect meal followed with main course (lots of choices) and dessert. Vodka as one may expect, great red French wine (but all from the west of Europe has quite a price nowadays) Service; friendly and very attentative.

Staying in Zamoskvorechye

Neighborhood Profile
Zamoskvorechye
It wouldn’t be a mistake to call Pyatnitskaya street the main axis of this neighborhood – turn one direction and you’ll find the Tretyakov Gallery in Lavrushinsky Lane, turn another – a hip Scandinavian restaurant. Old churches now embrace contemporary life with style and grace. Going to Zamoskvorechye is like visiting during the times when it was a medieval Russian quarter, but with a modern twist of 20th century buildings pushing themselves into the 21st century with new businesses opening weekly. Stroll down Pyatnitskaya to taste dozens of global cuisines – from Ukrainian and Georgian to Thai and American.
