We had a lovely spot on the terrace of this restaurant in Zaryadye Park overlooking the Moskva River on a sunny evening. Our waiter was very friendly, our drinks delicious and very reasonably priced for such an excellent location.

Great place, right by and under the overlook platform over the Moskva river, with view of the river full of passing boats and with the view of the Kremlin towers and walls. Given the prime location one might expect a tourist trap with sky-high prices,...mediocre food and lukewarm service. Not so here. We found more than reasonable prices, good food, generous servings, good wine selection and attentive service. Went there on a Saturday and then a week later last Sunday, when my wife took her family out for a birthday. The place was busy and full, no surprise. All desirable riverside tables were taken, but the tables were many and the staff was managing the wait very well, whisking people to newly freed tables quite efficiently. Our wait was less than 10 min and could have been shorter, because the maitre d' Pavel brought up an extra chair to a just freed table, offering to set it up for us, so that we did not have to wait. The table was in the sun, so we had to decline with regrets, opting to wait for a table in the shade. Less than five minutes later we were offered a table for four in the shade. Our waiter was Sergey - good humored, good looking, super attentive, all smiles - and with fast and proper service: at least three changes of silverware, extra smaller plates in case we wanted to share between us, properly chilled drinks: water and wine, our glasses refilled promptly, warm frothed milk for tea in individual cutest little cups- and an overall smooth and flawless service with good humor and a smile. This was coupled with the maitre d’s Pavel attention to, as we saw, every table. He was so good at what he did: greeting guests, seating guests, chatting them up, recommending dishes, making sure things were good at tables and having people feel special with all the attention, which Pavel managed to provide at precisely the right moments, totally timely and entirely unobtrusive. A marvel of a professional -- he was: discreet, attentive and in full control. In short, we had an extraordinary great dinner at an extraordinary good location. Of the soups, we loved the borscht, the excellent astrakhan seafood soup and the spicy smoky “khartcho”, at less than $7 dollars each. Of the mains, the duck with apricot and plum sauce was outstanding and plentiful at less than $15 dollars. Another dish not to miss was two petit pieces ( about 8 ounces) of filet mignon with creamy scrumptious truffle sauce, properly offered to be prepared anyway you want, medium rare in our case, a melt in the mouth marvel under $17 dollars. What a deal! And not no forget the buttery huge veal shnitzel in panko crumbs with mushroom sauce, addictive, at under $15 dollars. Yam. Worth checking out. And enjoy a chilled bottle of great French rose from Loire Valley, like we did, at mere $26 dollars a bottle. Lots of great deserts and variety of coffees and teas. Pavlova with a to die for creamy gooey middle is a must to share. All in all - fantastic place. Hope it will stay this way forever.More

i came in this restaurant for a dinner and i ate some lamb chops with a red italian wine. they were very tasty and i was surprised to find a high quality. the restaurant offers a big choice of different foods (fish, meet, vegetables) in...different areas.More

Enjoyed this place with my family twice already. Great dishes, quality food, lovely oysters with Crimea sparkling wine. Highly recommended. 4 not 5 only because of only cash concept. Hope to come again soon.

You are meat? Fish? Chicken? Sea food? Composed dishes? You want to try local Russian food or eat something familiar? You can find all you want here. You are coming, sitting at any table, waitress is giving you all kitchen possible choices (a lot of...menus then), and you choose any of those. You can walk a little before, to see and to pre select what you want - all is classified by type of food (sea food, meat, chicken, coups, salads, desserts, Russian specialities divided by types...), with a different booth for each. It's just a great place to taste many many many different dishes you never heard about, and to re discover those dishes you already know. All is fresh, well baked, good taste - and coming with a really good price (especially if you are considering you are sitting in centre of Moscow, close to Red Square place). Nice service, smiling stuff...what else? Definitely to try and to adopt.More

We visited the Gastronomic Center twice during our stay in Moscow in April 2019. We were not disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. On our second visit we had Timur as our waiter. He was attentive, kind, and friendly....He did not mind that we had little of the language to use and used his excellent English skills with us. Should we ever go back to Moscow, we would definitely visit again - not only for the Resturant, but for the lovely park that it is in.More

Went to the dumplings and soup section for a quick lunch and had very tasty Russian food. Service was excellent as provided by Timur, who was probably one of the few waiters who could speak very good English and was friendly, courteous, and also gave...us tips on what to chose in the menu. A cozy place, I have seen many times on photos and videos and it seemed to me that this is a very large space. In fact, not so big, the food is varied and tasty, the price policy is average for Moscow and such location.

Opportunistic visit to have tea and a cake ended up with vareniki, cheburek and a cake, and Jasmine tea. Cannot say about anything else, but all of the above was good, in fact very good, albeit a bit pricey. Beware of "lenten" sour cream (otherwise...a mandatory complement to vareniki), which is made of soya milk....Ask for regular one, please! Cheburek was large, soft and had wonderful mutton filling. Vareniki were made with excellent dough, thin and soft, and filling (potato, mushroom, fried onion) wad excellent. Tea wad as good as elsewhere, we were very happy. The choice is really large, various corners served different fares, particularly Crimean food, on that weekend, but alas, we came already full and did not try. Service was good, prompt, efficient, friendly and rendered necessary explanations when asked for. I want to come again.More

We came here two days in a row to eat the best pelmeni in town, the service is super fast and the food is pretty cheap considering the location. There are more than 5 different small restaurants that offer different types of food: fish ,...meat, pelmeni (ravioli) , blini (crepes) , cakes etc I defined recommend it for a fast lunch break!More

We were attracted to this place in Zaryadye park by the words ‘oyster bar’. This food market could be compared to the best places in European capitals. It’s worth visiting just to take a look and enjoy the interiors. All oysters here are of Russian...origin. There are 6 or 7 types and, of course, we tried them all. Some were very good. The oysters are accompanied by the Russian champagne, which, unfortunately, must be more difficult to get right than seafood. Wish one day French-quality 20 year old champagne and foie gras would be produced in Russia!More
