Long waiting time, unprofessional staff, they don’t know the menu very well, i asked for a type of beer and they said they don’t have it, and after ordering another beer, i saw the one that i wanted in the fridge. Food was very good.

Meeting with friends , one evening after work - place of choice restaurant at the beer factory. So fresh beer on the terrace - and some typical Romanian food - it is inspired by the dish that you can find all over the Balkans the...Cevapcici or Cevapi - you name it - with a twist - hard to describe , you need to taste "Mici" - and those served here were not bad at all, I would say very good in comparison to other places. The menu is more divers - typical beer court food, grilled meat and fries , and other dishes that go well with the beer. So yes - it is a good place for those who love beer and grilled meat. Prices are decent - nothing to really complain and the service very good.More
Easy 30 minute walk from the centre. We wandered down mid afternoon having read a number of positive reviews from others. In hindsight, we shouldn't have bothered. The service was appalling from start to finish. We first tried to order at the bar and were...waved to a seat. After 10 minutes of persistent hand waving on our part, we were told to move to a different table (which we did duly!). 10 minutes later, during which time three separate tables were seated and their order taken, we were finally approached by an irate waitress. Bear in mind we were two people looking to try their beer, not a 5 course meal! The beers arrived, we drank them (local Timişoara produce - no complaints on that front!), waited another 10 minutes to get the bill, another 5 minutes for change and left. The place did appear popular with families so maybe we hit rush hour and the waitress was having a bad day but manners cost nothing!More
I ordered a dish called "Mititei" and i had to wait 50 minutes. Normally this should be ready in maximum 10 minutes and let's say for the french fries add an extra 5 minutes. Terrible waiting time!
At the Timisoreana Brewery there is also a restaurant - probably there from centuries - so here we decided that we stop after a day at the office to have a beer and some dinner. - location - looks nice - like recently refurbished -...nothing to complain about ... very good seating capacity, and nice atmosphere - they also got TV's so if there is a football game it can be a venue for a friendly get together also. - service - was good when we were there ... everything arrived fast, nothing to complain the staff did a very good job. - food - the options on the menu card are divers and the portions are plenty - now if you are looking for fine dining is not the case - and it is mainly food to go with the beer... I 've chosen chicken wings with fires and spicy sauce ... nothing to complain, crispy wings were nicely done ... nothing to complain and they were plenty. Choices of beers - since we are at the brewery - are mainly focused on the local brews, but good options, I like Timisoreana from the draught. - prices - pocket friendly - is not a fast food joint in the end. And they take credit card. So nothing to complain in the end. Overall a good option with good choices ... If you are looking for a nice night out and nothing fancy - good beer and food to go with the beer look no further ... the Timisoreana Brewery is the place for you and your gang.More
The location is interesting. Very good beer, but the food is medium. The atmosphere is nice, good staff.
...to be there. As for the food, expensive and alas the quality varies daily, once I had a wonderful made bbq grill, once the most uninspiring mici i have ever had in Romania. My advice, stick with the beer!
the food was great and the atmosphere is fun they had live music and it was a very nice place to socialize and hang out
We went to check out this place a few months ago with some friends and we had a pretty good time. We shared a mix grill plate which was pretty good, portion was high enough for us to share and the meat was properly cooked....The pickled vegetables were also very good, I liked the most the cauliflower. We also had Papanasi for dessert and they were quite good, made with cheese, I recommend you give it a try. Service was ok but a bit slow towards the end as the place got crowded. We wanted to order also Ribs but we changed our mind as nobody came later near our table so I recommend you order from the beginning all that you want as you might find it difficult later on. Overall, a nice place, prices are maybe a bit high, my rating 3.8 / 5 stars.More
The place is overrated, the place looks so good but the food has no delicious taste and it is overpriced. It’s sad because the place has a lot of potential to be an amazing landmark....
This place is overrated. The food is not so tasty and we stayed a while until they served us. I don't recommand this place.
If you are looking for a local Romanian restaurant this is the place to go. Service might be a bit slow but waiters are polite and nice and the food is pretty good, not the best... take in mind if you don’t know Romanian it...might be difficult with the menu because they don’t have English menus at all.More
More than one year and half after my previous visit, we went here with the colleagues for a beer in October. I have to say they improved in all aspects: the food was good, the special beers were available, the waiting time was decent and...now the toilets are modern and clean. We took 1 meter CBR food which contains a plate 1 meter long with all the important choices from traditional Romanian food (mici, sarmale, grilled pork meat, fried potatoes), enough for 6 persons. It was delicious and so much that we were not able to finish it. We tried unfiltered beer and "At tank" beer, both available at half liter and one liter. The place offer the view of a traditional beer hale, with visible wooden parts, remembering the Germanic past of Timisoara and the founders of the first beer factory from the today Romania: The beer factory of Timisoara was founded in 1718, by the prince Eugeniu de Savoya, after the liberation of the town from Turkish occupants. The prince decided to build a beer factory for the soldiers leaving here and as an alternative to the bad waters from the swamps who characterized the place 300 years ago.More
Situated on the premises of the local brewery - hence the popularity. Indeed, the beer is cheap and OKish...However, it i crowded most of the time, the food is not brilliant, prices are not cheap, the service is slow and the staff is very inflexible...when it comes to making any change is orders.More
Very simply this place could be summarized as restaurant at the Timisoara brewery, good food and that's it. Well you could but in the end is always "more than meets the eye." I will leave the service the end of the review: - the terrace...with very good seating capacity, some tables in the shade some in the sun , very nicely arranged (have to admit last time I've been here was 15 years ago- used to be a regular back then- so yes it's been a while ). That was a nice surprise. - beer since the brewery is the place hosting the restaurant - well it is easy Timisoreana - the brewery is here from 1718 so 300 years of tradition in making beer ! Very good I went for the "unfiltered" - is basically a pils but the yeast is in there and you don't have a clear beer but the "thick" brew - really love this 1. - food - brewery style , grilled meats , "Mici" , pork knuckle, sausages ...the "right stuff" so the appetite for beer can be kept at high levels. We ordered "Mici" , very good and very well grilled , tasty , juicy , not dry , and totally inexpensive - if everyday they do it like this? you can't be wrong in your choice. - service , here comes the bit that was making the not good score - I say average because of the waitress approach. The place wasn't packed but still we had to wait for getting our orders taken and getting the beers, also the empty mugs were just left on the table until somebody decided to collect those. Plates the same - we've collected them on the plate, to make it easy for them to pick up the lot. As I said the average - it can be seen here and in lot of other places. Overall when you balance everything is a good place - service should improve to be really great - and for sure I'll be back, when beer is good and food is good , service can't ruin my day that's a certainty! When in Timisoara , have a beer at the brewery !!More
