Prices and service are ok but not excellent , food is good. Probably one of the best place in town to eat traditional local dishes.

Good food with friendly people. Children eat for free. The playground is nice with toys to keep the kids busy and with video surveillance

Casa Bunicii (Balcescu) is a nice, quiet place near the city center, and is accessible by foot from the center of Timisoara. The walk is quite pleasant in good weather, since you walk by some very nice historical buildings and cross the Bega river. The restaurant has a nice park very close by. The service is good and the staff... More

The food is great, the service also. I had banatean pork, it was delightfully good. If you are looking for some mama's homemade foodie, this is the place.

Had several dinners there, loved the atmosphere, nice service, food has a distinctly lcoal flavour (meat almost always in the company of some sort of fruit or fruit sauce, even in the cesar salad). very good deserts and as the name sais, grandma's cooking

We enjoyed our evening at this restaurant, as the ambiance was lovely, the staff were polite and welcoming and the food was great. Reminded me of my grandma's cooking. We will come back and we highly recommend orhers to try the food here

Went to this restaurant with colleagues for a work lunch. The prices are very reasonable, the service excellent. Excellent fried pancake with mushroom cream stuffing. I recommend also the baked bowl with polenta (mamaliga) with crispy bacon and onion with an egg on top. The portions are big.

I was on a business trip with a colleague from Poland and as I miss Romanian food I suggested to try for dinner something local. I am from Bucharest so the food specialties are quite different. As always and wherever they serve I took aubergine salad and a plate with cold Romanian products. it was a very good mix of... More

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on our last night in Timisoara and were glad we did! The restaurant is slightly tucked away and was quiet on our visit. We both went for the pork knuckle which was absolutely delicious and a generous portion size! The prices were also good. I would recommend Casa Bunicii and would definitely... More
