A cozy restaurant in a newly restored beautiful building. Must visit again. Our party of four tried four different dishes: the filet of wild Caught fish, the local “varza a la cluj”, the chicken papricaș and the rather boringly called Sandwich with beef and fois gras. Turns out the sandwich was the best meal, acompanied by roasted baby fries. They should name this dish better. The other three were all delicious too. Toilets have a nice concept, with massive doors, ample space and Uber clean.
They are still hiring staff at the moment, if it takes awhile to bring your food, enjoy a cocktail or beer while waiting.
We stayed outside, they have indoors seating too and soon will open the inner courtyard as well. Picture is of the fish, but definitely will return to get the foie gras dish.

We were just having a walk when my SO saw the beautifully renovated place and insisted to try it out. We got in and luckily a table with a view to the interior courtyard was available. At first glance the menu did not seem to be something out of the ordinary so I just decided to go with a dish famous in the city: cabbage a la Cluj (baked cabbage). It was by far the best I ever had! The tiramisu was excellent and my SO really enjoyed her strudel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely return to try the rest of the menu.

The perfect place for a business dinner. Cozy, very good service, not intrusive and patient.
The drink manu is very generous, a wide variety of spirts as well as wines. The food was delicious, we had the local specialty, cabbage with pork meat and I’m looking forward to going back and try other dishes. The place is not cheap but the quality/price ratio is very good.

I ordered lamb which was uneatable and although i informed the waiter that I was really unhappy with the pricy and low quality meat besides I’ll tell the chef nothing, I still got charged. Not a dessert or something at least to excuse themselves. The waiter was always in a hurry. We had to wait a lot for him to pay us any attention. And I general the staff was unresponsive to any requests. Never again gonna go there again. There are better options around.

The space is very stylish and clean. However, I am surprised at the glowing reviews. The staff were polite, but did not seem happy in their work. Despite the board inside with "Welcome!" in 5 languages, they were unlike all the friendly Romanian people I have met so far. This was even before we ordered. It was early afternoon and only one other couple in the place, ratio of 3 staff to 5 customers. When the food arrived the pork cotelet was hot and well-cooked. But our Chicken Paprikas was not cooked through and was tepid. The waitress did not hesitate in taking them away and she said they would cook two fresh meals. She did apologise and looked miserable. Second time round, the meat was thoroughly cooked. I found the dish rather disappointing, as it was basically 3 pieces of salty, cooked chicken sitting in a pool of sauce with tasteless dumpling strips. I had expected more flavour. An interesting experience, but not a place to recommend.

We went out with colleagues for a late lunch on a weekend after the Christmas Party at Epoca Bella. We have made a reservation and they prepared a nice table in a more private part of the restaurant. Really the place looks amazing, decoration is great, so elegant and modern in the same time. We tried different dishes , all of them were very tasty and very nice presented. Great service! I would definitely recommend this restaurant !

One of the best restaurant in the city. The building, the decoration and the service were great. Nice food, not something special to remember. some choices were good, like the roast beef. However, we ordered the lamp rak and it was quite salty. For this level of service, I think the chef could be more carefull. The prices, the environment and the overall exprience were good.

Epoca Bella is situated in a wonderful building that creates a very luxurious atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service and the food do not live up to the expectations. The first surprise was that our reservation got lost somehow, which was unpleasant because I wanted a perfect dinner with our guests, so I made sure to book our table in advance. We ordered a few appetizers and main dishes. I tasted all of them, but they were just... basic! Nothing special about the food and the staff was rude from the start. I was so disappointed and it is a shame that such a beautiful place doesn't host an amazing restaurant. I hope in the future, this building will get the restaurant it deserves.

The restaurant is in a freshly rehabilitated building in the own town. The building itself is lovely and it’s so great they have redone it. The restaurant has good service and the food has some Romanian/ Hungarian twists that are nice to see for a change. Will probably go again.

Nice mix of traditional cuisine with a modern twist. All was delicious. Wide range of wines. When we arrived there was no table available but somehow they quickly made a table for us. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location in the middle of the square.

Absolutely delightful, the best place in Cluj by far. It is cozy and welcoming, yet elegant and charming. Service was impeccable and the desserts and hot drinks we had were outstanding. Could not even come up with any improvements.
Would definitely come back, again and again.

we went to epoca bella on the 6th night for dinner.
I have different complaints.
I start saying that after all the calls that they were making, after the pressure that they put on us for deposit, after we said the menu everything it should have been perfect, but it wasn’t at all.
First of all, the celiac person, after the dinner in this restaurant she didn’t feel good at all. I told many times to them to be careful and everything. We are talking about a disease. And they did not respect it at all.
If you can not be sure 100% that you can make it, you have to tell it. It’s not a joke.
Continuing the dishes with the meat were cold.
First dishes and seconds came all together.
For the gulaș we came for asking about the peppers and it was different from what we received.
The rice was impossible to eat. we left all of it. And also so many others dishes.

I writing from the restaurant it self! We arrived at 20:30! The food arrived at 22:00. The chicken and the steak (the most expensive dish from the menu) were cold!!!!!
And the prices are high

Please consider the fact that ocasionally, our restaurant is fully booked, thus the serving time might take a little longer. However, one hour and a half is certainly not a reflection of reality. Our menu is crafted in such manner that the price range is very diverse, thus you had the possibility to choose between different dishes within different price levels. We are sorry you did not enjoy our steak, since it is one of our most loved dish on the menu. We hope to see you soon and impress you with other delicious meals or cocktails.
