Grade 10 food. I ate 3 days in a row. It was all superlative. Perfect service. Very kind waiters .... Gyuri served us 2 days and Attila one day. Thank you very much. I recommend!

I loved this restaurant with beautiful views of tge valley. The food tastes great, the wines and cherry liquors and palinka are great. The best in the area!

Pity for the investment made. We had lunch on a sunny day, the restaurant was almost full. It all started when we asked the waiter for a good recommendation on the menu, given we were in the heart of Tinutul Secuiesc and the cuisine is...pretty special around here. He recommended us the Australian Angus Beef Tomahawk, and then I knew we are in the wrong place. We had some “tapas”, absolutely plain and tasteless and some goulash soup which hardly resembled to a genuine one. For the main we had a grilled trout with polenta , and we got it cold (the polenta was made probably a day before) and some venison stew ( tocanita de vanat) which was also almost cold and very average. Their luck is being the only restaurant on a 20 km radius, otherwise would be a no-go.More

We arrived at Balvanyos and decided to have lunch! We stopped at Gastrolab. Everything was perfect, clean, prompt service and you felt safe. We served a Transylvanian soup with a mix of mushrooms, grill minced meat rolls venison - deer and wild boar and a...grilled boneless chicken leg with mashed potatoes and seasonal salad. We ended with a latte bistro Tiziano. It was perfect!More

We had our wedding anniversary at Gastrolab Balvanyos. It was the best choice we could've made! The food was very good, the atmosphere nice and relaxed and the service was excellent! And also, the wine! It is fantastic when you have a nice waiter, like...young Attila. He was always there, but still discreet, always trying to help, doing everything to make us feel special. He even made an ad-hoc cake so we could put our candles on, he put the right music, it couldn't be better!! Thank you Attila and your colleagues for the best dinner we had in months! Absolutely nothing to reproach, keep up the good work, Gastrolab!More

Went there with some friends and tried some of the specialties: lentil soup, goulash soup, deer and mushroom stew, meat plate. The food was good, loved the goulash and stew. The meat plate was ok but had one piece of pork fat that was impossible...to eat being very tough. The atmosphere was really nice up until someone from the staff came with an electric shock stick to scare away some dogs that were sitting between the guests' tables. Not only the dogs were scared away... drinks flew on the tables and on the food... not a nice moment. Another thing I disliked was the service fee 24 RON (about 4 euros) for the table.More
