a lot of people, very noisly but so good and fresh meats. all is excellent and fresh - a lot of choices, speciality and for each land ! perfect

Very popular family buffet. Compares well price wise with local competitors. Some very tasty dishes. Worth a visit for a set price menu, South African wine good value and OK.

The food here was great! So much variety on offer at the buffet plus there is also some food for toddlers which is great. Was quite a bit cheaper at 25 euros compared to our hotel buffet.

we where a table of 10 people and first i was a bit shocked! there where many people and the buffet looked a bit too small at the beginning for all of them; it was loud and you had to wait long times to get...the good food. on the table we orderd drinks and hmmm jack daniels came without coke so all of us had a glass of wiskey with the food, the service was poor, but i felt i couldnt expect more. they had a area to smoke and clean toiletts. the food was good lots of fish and salads. in total we left early to do something elseMore

Not taking away from the restaurant's casual setup, the seating and decor lends itself to a eat and GO feeling. After a long day at the office and needing to get a quick bite, with healthy good quality foods ... GO can certainly deliver. It's...a Buffet that caters for most... still working out why saucers are used as dessert plates/ bowls... It is an eat as much as you like venue, after all!!!More

La Plage de L'Hermitage is one of nicest beaches on Reunion Island but not that much crowded than others. Cap Mechant is a chain operating a number of branches across the Island. They have got a good reputation which can also be confirmed for their...buffet style restaurant close to the beach of La Plage de L'Hermitage. They offer plenty of food for pretty much every taste. This restaurant is well located next to the lagoon and serves mostly western dishes (salads, paella...) and roasted/grilled meats as well as some local dishes. While the local dishes are good but not fantastic, the western food is really good for reunion island. At 20.../ 25 € per person + drinks this is a good deal.More

I visited this restaurant at lunchtime on a Sunday with 4friends of mine.Pretty busy on Sundays so we had to wait 5mn to have an available table.The good surprise is that there is a wide range of food at the buffet from salads to cooked...or even raw meat and deserts with lovely whipped cream and much more.It's 25euros per person.The food is ok so value for money is ok too.A little bit noisy when the restaurant is packed.This is not a fine gourmet place but enough to have a good time with friends or family.I recommend it.More

If you are visiting St Gilles les bains at reunion island, make it a must to go for diner or lunch (buffet) at the Go by le Cap Mechant... the only complaint that I can come up with is that you wont be able to...eat everything.. too many variety... too much food.. and everything just miam!!More

Good service and atmosphere, and a starter + main+ dessert menu for 25 euros which is good value. The starters were excellent, and the cabri massalé tender and tasty. We'll come again.
