Had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the lobby. This place is fancy and extravagant at the same time. Expect to have white glove service during your dinning experiences. A pianist or orchestra might be serenading you during your dinning stay. The whole ambiance is upscale and worth the experience. Also tried the breakfast buffet which is the better buffets then... We were at The Lobby for a meeting. Love the ambience of this 40 year old charming property! We tried the afternoon tea set, love the raisin scones and there were a wide selection of TWGTea! The chips and salad is also delicious and we were there from 3 - 7pm! It was a great place to meet, eat and... More

The restaurant in the lobby is simply amazing. Had dinner here twice and there was an orchestra playing classical music. The place is pretty classy. Ordered a steak for dinner (1,500 pesos, or $33 at that time) and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had plus the price is a bargain compare to the best steakhouses... More

Grandest lobby in Manila... from lofty ceilings to well spaced tables allowing the luxury of space and privacy to your guests... Our guests and I had the smoked salmon which was average, service was attentive.

It's a good place to have a light meal, while listening to a live jazz band. Food is great and affordable.

Am at the Lobby almost weekly for decades and the grand ambience simply cannot be beat... Whether business, social or just a get-together, the setting is both grand and yet, allows an intimacy and luxury of people space exceedingly rare in not only Manila but in Asia...

In my opinion, the lobby of this hotel is simply unbeatable. Relaxing ambience - luxurious but not intimidating. Food is good but pricey. We always love their arroz caldo (Filipino-style chicken porridge), Schueblig sausage, pancit canton, pasta....and to cap a sumptuous meal, an order of their signature halo-halo or ice cream! Moreso, we love their 5* service given very attentive... More

We had a quick dinner one evening in the Lobby at Manila Peninsula Hotel, and it was grand! There was a string quartet playing, and we were even able to make a request, which was granted and played - a Schubert Waltz. Lovely!

A peaceful place. Service is great as usual. The food is delicious and usually comes quickly. I especially like the performers singing and strumming the guitar — or sometimes even the cello — from above. The lobby is always lively and nice to come to on a weekend night for a snack.
