We entered a truly palatial setting but were seated next to a large family with a couple screaming babies, so I asked the waiter to move us. He ignored me. I asked again and he said there were no available tables. I pointed to an empty table and he walked away. At that point my guests and I picked up... More

Everything on the menu is great. Love their ham suy kok, crystal shrimp dumpling, sweet and sour pork and yang chow fried rice. But don't be scared to order anything because everything I've tried here is good. Ambiance is typical Chinese restaurant in a 5-star hotel. Service is great as always.

Great food and service made for a very pleasant Sunday night dinner. Especially liked the Peking Duck but all dishes were very tasty and well presented. Staff were attentive and their service was great.

The SHang Palace inside the Makati Shangri-La offers chinese fare at luxury hotel prices. The restaurant itself is expansive, one might even call it cavernous, with high ceilings and rich appointments throughout. In the times that I ate there, the occupancy rate was rather sparse, giving rise to a somewhat eerie space, rather than a comforting and quiet experience. The... More

We availed of a special promotion at Shang Palace and had dinner there last week. The place was half full, perhaps, it being a weekday evening. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The first 3 dishes we ordered were excellent. But the last 3 were so-so. In retrospect, without the special promotion, given the sizes of... More

Shang Palace the go to place for good dim sum, sure to not disappoint. The stir fried beef tenderloin, orange prawns and spicy beef shin appetizer are excellent as well.

For starters, the ambiance that the place evokes upon entering already bodes well for a superb Chinese dining experience. We availed for lunch the Dim Sum buffet. Although it took a while for them to serve the food, we learned that they made it from scratch. Thus, it was worth our while to wait and finally taste fresh and delicious... More
