We've previously gone here multiple times, and just tried to do an online order. Understandably, they didn't have everything we completed with our order on DoorDash. They called us to ask what we wanted to switch our order too, but when we asked what they...had, they simply said "We don't have anything." I'm not sure why you're open if you don't have food.More

Ichiban provides food and entertainment for the whole family. Good quality and reasonably priced. Best Japanese restaurant I have been to.

We usually go there when we are celebrating a birthday. They cook the food right in front of you to your specifications with an entertainment from the cook. FUN!!

Our Chef was gracious and entertaining. The meals were quickly prepared and were seasoned nicely. Portions were a little on the small side for the rice. The meat portions were appropriate. Nice and clean restaurant. We would go back again.

Previously have had good experiences with this Ichiban but this was not the case this time around. Half of our party's meals were average. The other half? They didn't receive what they ordered even after the Habachi "chef" confirmed their selections. We watched rather dumbfounded...as he cleaned off the grill and shut it down. One of the patrons didn't receive a single ordered item, the second ordered filet-mignon with salmon and was given plain steak with some chicken. Additionally, there was none of the typical artistry or showmanship the is expected. Lastly, the sushi that was on previous visits, rather good was on this night bland and tasteless. The manager did adjust the bill accordingly but at that point the meal was effectively ruined. Consider other food choices in the area.More

I had read about Ichiban on Trip Advisor and booked a hibachi table for our family (adult children and grandchildren). As soon as we were seated, I knew it was a mistake. Right next to our table (within 3 feet) was a slop bucket filled...with dirty water, rubber gloves and filthy rugs hanging off the bucket. Next to that was a dirty broom and trash can. My daughter noticed the same scene and immediately left the table with her phone to see if she could find any last minute reservations at another restaurant. Unfortunately, none were available for a group our size. We ended up eating there, but the food was NOT good. Those who ordered chicken said it was rubbery and tasted funny. My daughter-in-law was so disgusted at the filth of the bathroom that she decided not to eat anything until she got home! It was a pretty nasty experience and I would advise anyone to save their money and time and eat elsewhere!!!!More

Visited for our adult son's birthday (3rd or 4th visit for us - many more for him). Three adults, one child. You can either choose a regular table for dinner, or choose a Hibachi chef to make your dinner and add some entertainment while you're...at it (Sorry chef - I was pretty bad at trying to catch the shrimp in my mouth!). We had a variety of food choices (shrimp, steak, scallops); all were enjoyed along with sides. Reasonable prices, worth another visit.More

The sushi was absolutely delicious! Very well prepared with fresh ingredients. The prices were reasonable for sushi and there was a huge variety. We did not try the hibachi this time but it looked pretty good. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The service was...just ok. We were seated fairly quickly, received water, and our order was taken. The sushi came out pretty fast considering how much we ordered. Only issue was after that, our waitress disappeared. After finishing our meal, which took all of maybe 15 minutes, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes for the waitress to come back. We had to get the attention of the hostess to find her so we could receive our check. Otherwise, we had a pleasant experience and would return.More

Quick service and you can't beat the lunch specials. Three rolls for under 11.00 with soup & salad. They also have available a two roll special.

We always have good food and service here. Sushi is very good and we love doing the hibachi. Never had an issue here and the prices are relatively inexpensive.

Depending on which part of Syracuse you're coming from, Route 5 is usually the best way. You can get by the Thruway but that includes 8 miles through Weedsport.
