Perhaps the ambiance or the traditional delicacies, Cafe by the ruins is one of these "must go" places for my wife and I when visiting Baguio. Food is really good and the servings large (caution as it is easy to over-order), the staff is generally friendly and helpful and orders are served promptly. Again, we shall return.

This is my 2nd time to eat here, and yes, the food is definitely good but I must agree, its kinda overrated already. You could get better food and view for the same or lesser amount (in our case we paid at least Php 600 pesos for champorado, omellete, bread and spread). Not going back here anymore because I realized... More

Whenever I visit Baguio, one of the restaurants I'd invite my friends to eat is in Cafe by the Ruins. Aside from the taste of their unique meals, the ambiance of the resto brings a different feels inside. This is the restaurant that you should be always having your meal. It's classic...

Been to this place more than 5 years ago and it used to be sssooo amazing, especially food that's why I opted to come here again. However, it wasn't the case this time around. I ordered beef stroganoff and it came out cold! So cold that the sauce sort of dried out i can't even mix it; hence, half of... More

Although they open at 700am, we went there at 6:30am. :)) Glad to have that early because I heard that lines can form during peak hours. So we were able to enjoy the ambiance and the good food. Really good food, by the way. Their Mt. Data Tapa is the best. ^_^

The place is really pricey but some items on the menu is quite unique to this restaurant like tapuey (local rice wine), Ernie's camote bread (sweet yam bread), carabao cottage cheese with basil, cheese lumpia with carabao cheese filling and others that will make one really curious. Its also a posh place to have pinikpikan (Cordillera ritual chicken soup with... More

Gave Cafè By The Ruins another try since it's just a stone's throw away from where we are staying. Last time we ate here was in 2011 and we thought the food was just okay, hence the long hiatus. This time though, I think we ordered the right things (Tinapang Bangus and Bacon and Eggs) and went back to our... More

After a hectic day, we chose Cafe by the Ruins for its laid back feel and ambience. Music is soothing. Food is good and brings comfort to the tummy. Babalik-balikan.
