I arrived here around 12:30, which is apparently when the fried chicken is first available. It was excellent, as were the rice and beans. The gentleman who waited on me was very nice and patient with my slow Spanish.

It took awhile to find this new location because it is no longer called Nelvis. He has changed the name to Los Edwins. This is his name and also his son's name. Still good typical lunchs for under $5.00 with drink.

Nelvis is one of our favorite places in Boquete. The food is consistently very good, and the place is clean. There is no better fried chicken in Panama. The owners are terrific people and very friendly.

My wife and I joined another couple for lunch at Nelvis' original location in Boquete. The food was delicious, fresh and very inexpensive. We had a big plate of baked chicken with a nice salad and a generous serving of plantains -- and the cost was under $4 each! We hear they have moved, but I'm sure they took their... More

Nelvis is back after a couple months of absence from the Boquete scene. The new location is on the 1st street east of the Town Park and about 1 ¾ blocks North of the Park; a few paces past Melo Store (a well known land mark). Nelvis is still cooking up great meals whilst Edwin and sons manage the shop.... More

This is eating like a true local. However, my friend living in Boquete has informed me that rents got too high in Boquete and they have moved to a town 20 mins away in Dolega or Algorrobos. That is a real shame. Be sure to visit them in their new location and support the locales. There are many great places... More

We asked our tour guide, who has lived in Boquete all his life, where he would recommend we go for authentic, local cuisine. Without hesitation, he said, "Oh, Nelvis. Get their chicken. It is fantastic. I always eat their chicken. You can tell they cook it with care." Indeed. A wonderful experience. No frills, just good food for a fantastic... More

Just 5 dollars for a wonderful hot meal. Lunch only! Not just American fast food. How do you beat that? For a lunch you can not beat this value. It does not matter if your looking for a hostal or you have a bigger budget,it's super.

Had a quick lunch here; cafeteria style so no waiting! Great food and even better prices! Select from two rices, chicken, beef, pork, bean salad, potato salad, and mixed green salad. Simple and satisfying!
