My favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food is so fresh, it is like being in Greece. The staff is always pleasant and friendly.

Nearby Astoria park, nice resto with good greek food. Moussaka and stuffed calamari are the best in the menu.

Excellent Restaurant to eat Greek food. After walking Astoria park with my son, my friend, and my dog, we decided to try this place which is right in front of the park. Ditmars Blvd. has many great restaurants and bars, this one, lived up to...be one of the best. After the Covid lock down, I love going to restaurants even more than before. The Octopus, it was the first time that I ate a really good Octopus, it tasted like soft delicious fish, not like rubber as I had it in previous places. This one make me to finally say, I like Octopus. I guess, the quality of good cooking makes a huge difference on different types of dishes. The fish and everything else was excellent in taste, it was an absolute great evening for us. I didn't like that the menu is a barcode and it has to be scanned on the cellphone to be read, please note that they do have a regular menu with the items listed if you ask for it. I had my son text me a picture of the menu, since there are so many things with technology and cell phones that I don't do. I really liked how nice the waitresses were, we had to actually ask them to give us the bill when we were ready to leave, unlike some restaurants that try to shooosh you out as soon as one finish eating. It was a Lovely eating experience, excellent food with excellent customer service.More

Very unpleasant experience tonight at Agnanti restaurant. After being greeted by a very affable and gentle maître, my friend and I moved to our booth. My friend was carrying his bike and just parked it inside our booth, only to be harshly and unreasonably nastily...reproached by a waitress (I understand that her English was below acceptable for such a profession: so please keep her in a different job where she doesn’t have to deal with customers). Then, while moving to our new seats, I was harshly reprimanded by a mask-less woman (a patroness who was not eating or drinking, and who looked like the quintessential MAGA suburban, non-college educated person) who took offense at my unlit cigarette and started unleashing a torrent of insults against me. Nobody at Agnanti defended me, but we were lucky because we then had a wonderful dinner at another historical establishment in Astoria. If Agnanti won’t teach their personnel how to behave with guests, and if they do not restrain such horrible behavior by customers like that foul-mouthed woman, they won’t see a dime from me and from my very large network of friends and colleagues.More

I went to this lovely restaurant during my visit to New York. I’ve been working in a Greek restaurant, in Holland, owned by a lovely Nice Greek family, myself for almost 3 years now and I must see that the food was incredibly delicious and...authentic. The servers where friendly and alert. I got the Chicken Souvlaki and they also brought me soms bread with olive oil beforehand and after I finished my meal they cleaned my table and they gave my a delicious dessert. I would totally recommend this restaurant if you’re thinking of going out to eat in Queens, New York!!❤️🇬🇷More

Agnanti was recommended to be by my Greek colleague about 10 years ago, and we’ve come once or twice a year ever since. Their food is excellent and a great value. Nearly everybody in the restaurant speaks Greek so they certainly know how to play...to folks who know Greek food. As for me, the grilled octopus was about the best I’ve had and ditto for the red snapper. I clumsily spilled a glass of wine and broke the glass. It was half full and they replaced it with a totally full glass without even a word. The place is crowded and the tables are semi communal but it all adds to the festive atmosphere. Try it, you’ll like it.More

We came early (5pm) so we could enjoy a long walk in Astoria Park after dinner. The restaurant was busy, inside and out on an Indian summer day. We started with Grilled Octopus and Pandora Feta (roasted Feta with Tomatoes and peppers.) One cannot get...Pandora Feta in most Greek restaurants. It was superb and reason alone to come to Agnanti. We followed the appetizers with two salads: the Village salad (mesclun tomatoes and goat cheese) and Politiki (shredded white and red cabbage, lettuce, peppers and garlic). Finally, we had grilled salmon and Kalamarakia as entrees. A lot of food but not too filling. Superb. Will return often.More
