The food here was supposed to be fabulous. I've been to several other restaurants nearby that are better. They have a common red sauce menu and the place needs updating badly. .

What is up with an Italian restaurant not having any decent bottles of wine in the 30-50 range? This is so easy to do it's enough to make me put the X on this place.

Looking for a real authentic home cooked Italian dinner? Well, this is your place. There is a reason why Robert DeNiro goes there like once a week.

My understanding is that the daughter of the owner of Manducati's Rustica is the owner of this location also in the LIC area and the restaurant and food are just as good if not better. Wine seemed a little pricy but rest of meal was good value for the portions. My wife had fettuccini Bolognese and I had chicken parmesan.... More

genuinely Italian food, the owner and chef is an Italian lady, pizzas are like at the old country, service is excellent and prices are moderate, a little off the beaten track, and you can visit the Pepsi sign (3 blocks away on the River) for stunning views of New York skyline

It's not what it used to be. But still good. I have been there so many times, and now there are many more local places to choose from. Its an old time favorite.

Excellent Italian food in an out-of-the-way location. Look up 'unprepossessing' and you'll find a picture of this place, but once inside, the whole atmosphere changes. Everything we had was very good (other than the bread they served, which was ordinary). Service was very friendly, and the owner and his son were both there and checked to be sure we were... More

I always drove by this restaurant but never tried it until I was invited to a bday party. The food was amazing. Several appetizers were passed around the table... Eggplant rollatini, calamari, stuffed mushrooms.. All excellent. I had shrimp scampi for my entree which was great. The shrimp were large and tender, very fresh. The service was excellent and atmosphere... More

I always drove past Manducati's on my way home and finally decided to try it. The decor, menu and food were all very old school and cozy and have probably not been updated in ages- which makes it very charming. The food was very good. The selections were basic Italian. The staff was very friendly. We've since been back and... More

My colleague who lives in Westchester recommended this place. I ordered the scungilli with marinara sauce and it tasted fine. My brother-in-law ordered the veal marsala and one can taste too much wine on the top. My sister-in-law had the veal parmigiana and the meat was very tough and tasted as if the meat was kept for a long time.... More
