"At home" feeling, bartender was very pleasant and I am assuming the gentleman who is the owner, was very welcoming. We had the happy hour drinks and a few items from the bar food menu. Prices were very reasonable. Somewhere we would definitely visit again.

My other half and I came here for brunch. They do botomless brunch drinks for 15.00. They have a great brunch menu. I did the create your own omelette and it was filling. The oysters were also awesome. We had the broiled ones. I’d come...here again.More

Friendly but very small restaurant in Astoria (easily reached by subway). Casual but efficient service, tables turned quickly while we were there but welcoming staff for families---saw date night, friends dining, several family groups. We were there for Thanksgiving, where they had an amazing Prix...Fixe offer--Turkey dinner for $23/person, other choices for as low as $18/person---choice of soup w/ homemade croutons or small but carefully made salad, then choice of entree (vegetarian Lasagna guy said his was good), salmon (salmon girl) picked off the crab stuffing, said the salmon was good otherwise), Gumbo (HUGE serving, Gumbo guy said it was delicious), Brisket (spice rubbed, nice flavor). Plus choice of two sides, and "german apple cake" with whipped cream for desert. Things were very fresh--string beans with carrots and shallots, potatoes, good homemade cake, tasty cornbread with honey butter. Weirdly liquidy "stuffing" (one of the choices of sides), the turkey was dry, the aforementioned unpleasant crab stuffing for the salmon. All in all, good value for the money, nice place, and clearly a neighborhood fave!More

We had an informal dinner at Bubba's one night and the food was good. The environment was low-key and casual. A good place for getting together with friends for a drink and some inexpensive eats.

Tasty brunch spot in Astoria! Got the glazed donut with egg, cheese, bacon. My gf got the pulled pork eggs benedict. Both were good, but o think the Benedict was the winner. Bottomless 1 hour brunch specials. Bloody Mary was good. Mimosas were healthy pours....Outdoor seating. Great brunch spot to randomly walk into!More

Bubba's gets it right- the chef, and he is truly, makes perfect Hollandaise sauce with just the right amount of lemon and nothing artificial. I've also had some of their Southern cuisine and the sauces really make me think of New Orleans. Love this place!

Very, very casual & a fun atmosphere. The kind of menu that begs you to keep returning to try many of the items. If I lived in the area, I would be a regular.

The food here is an excellent ad authentic recreation of your typical Southern and Cajun fare, from fried chicken and barbecue to jambalaya and o'boys. Bubba's menu also ranges from traditional bar fare like sandwiches and burgers to a half dozen different types of mac-n-cheese...(seriously, oyster mac sounded really good) and entree platters. The drinks are strong and there's almost always a Happy Hour going on.More
