I have ordered from Butcher Bar several times back after seeing them on “Fox & Friends” a few years back. Usually get burnt ends, pulled pork and typical BBQ. It has been at least a few years since ordering from them. This time I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with goat cheese and a Big Bacon Burger with sharp cheddar. The food is always tasty and enjoyable but I’m always left wondering about the value proposition. 🤔. Maybe I expect bigger portions or maybe they need to lower their prices. 🤔

We went at lunchtime and had the $9.99 Blue Plate special - one meat and two sides. It was wonderful, the beef brisket was phenomenal. We also had the "meat candy" burnt ends appetizer - an incredibly tender meat with great bbq sauce. More bbq sauce is on the tables, it is like the bbq you would find in Nashville. Incredible to find it in Astoria. This is also near the train station, and very walkable - there are many restaurants and coffee shops along the way.

Just had Lunch at Butcher Bar and it was a delightful experience. Got a table outside right away and safety procedures are in place. We ordered the plate, to split, that had brisket, burnt ends, Mac and cheese and cornbread and you get pickles and coleslaw. Everything on that plate was delicious especially the Burnt Ends. The two wait staff were two lovely women that gave the best service. It was a great lunch and we are diffenitly going back.

I had not been back in years to the Butcher Bar, but the last month returned. I ordered Mac and Cheese and their meat candy (Double Smoked Beef Burnt Ends. -
1/2 lb)) Boy, was the food tasty and filling! And with a soda, I came away very satisfied.
Since my last visit there, back in 2016, the eatery has livened up quite a bit and reminds me (decor) of one of those western chow houses in NV, AZ, or CO) You would not think you were in Queens, NY.
Will I be back, yes!

I have a number of friends who've told me that Butcher Bar is better then BBQ they've had in Texas and Memphis. So, I finally ordered their famous brisket and burnt ends tonight. My friends were absolutely right. This BBQ joint in the heart of Astoria is top notch! Chris was extremely accommodating and he made my girlfriend and I feel like VIP's. We both can't wait to order from Butcher Bar again soon.

We came here for a July 4th weekend 'hit' of bbq after reading many positive reviews. Sad to say, this visit was disappointing. The brisket and ribs we ordered we're exceedingly dry .. as if left over from a previous day. The cornbread was stale and flaborless. . The mac and cheese was creamy and good. the service was fine. perhaps we should've sent the food back. Instead we walked out, dissatisfied.

I have to say the level of customer service this place offers was fantastic. They were so attentive and pleasant. The food was delicious. I recommend the famous meat candy and smoked fried wings. Their burger was good too. I definitely recommend this place.

I’m from the south and have had my fair share of BBQ. The meat candy burnt ends sandwich hit the spot. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I didn’t have anything else as the restaurant.

It’s a good bbq place. Meets are good. It’s worth trying if you are close by. Burnt ends are what most people order at this place.

The burt ends are worth the trip, my daughter lives in Astoria and everytime I visit I'm going to have to stop at the Butcher Bar for some Meat Candy. The creamy mac and cheese is also delicious.
