Monika's is an old favorite. This place is so cute and has outdoor seating. I usually get the mozzarella sandwich, which I LOVE, but this time I ordered the butternut squash salad. YUM. So fresh and tasty. Perfect for a summer afternoon. The frozen lemonade was super tart but good. The creme brûlée was sweet and topped with a little... More

We were visiting our young friends in Jackson Heights, and all five of us (including our friends' three year old boy) drove to this place in Astoria. They found a seat for us inside in no time and the food and drink were fine. My wife and I each had a steak salad, which was one of the best I... More

Spent the morning looking at the Mad Men exhibit and wondered what would Don Draper do for lunch? We figured he would have a drink and a light lunch so we made our way to the Cafe Bar around the corner. They offer a large selection of draft beers that you don't usually find at most places, nice wine list... More

I've come here a few times with friends for brunch. Their huevos rancheros are tasty and my fiance raves about any dish here that includes smoked salmon. Their service is good. I had a mix up once with my order but they were appologetic and quick to rectify the matter. I really like the seating options here and the whole... More

A very pleasant and relaxed establishment with nice indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable and every item was delicious. The (complimentary) Table Water bottle is wonderful. This is the place to go when you want a casual but well served informal meal.

Great food! reasonable prices but mix drinks are so-so (missing alcohol). My recommendation – just go with the beer or wine.

Each of us had a different dish for brunch. Each was excellent. Price was great, diverse crowd with a laid back feeling.

This mediterranean influenced restaurant is in my neighborhood and is my go to place to take friends and family when they come to visit. The food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. They also serve great mixed drinks. This place is fun all around.

Everything on the menu is delicious. They prepare many local and unusual dishes. And the best and biggest fresh bowl of guacamole I have seen in years. The decor is pleasantly funky. The reclining nude (painting) over the bar sets an artsy mood.
