Still as laid back and relaxed as ever, so don't expect 5*here. Just chilled, with locals popping in, coming to chat or say hello. You kind of feel at home here. Just look at the beautiful wood carvings, as they really are amazing
I eat at Russell’s pretty much every night if I’m staying in the nearby Kauri. Seafood is better than the alternatives in the area, and the atmosphere is quite relaxed.
Also been to the monthly craft market. If you’re looking for something to take home...with you, it is probably the place to find something reasonable (as opposed to the shops in hotels or the crafts place across from “the” new grocery store which sell overpriced items).More
I ate here last night and had an amazing veggie pizza. Best pizza I've had in a really long time and for around $5 USD it was big enough to share...also a very nice atmosphere...easy to meet other travelers and people
Once a month is there an expat market, with safe parking place. The food is not high Standart, and you have to tell the waiter clearly what you wish.
The place is not so clean, but clean with the food/kitchen.
If you need some Tipps...for your trip you will meet some people they love to help you.More
The best place in Pemba for meeting people or just chilling. All the local expats gather there for parties. Very laid back and relaxed with a pool. Pizzas good, and look out for the catch of the day, as the local fishermen bring them to...the lodge for supperMore
Great atmosphere to relax and have a good meal. The pizza is excellent. Had a burger and although it was kinda small (had 2!!!!), it was tasty. Good value.
Table service needs improvement, as well as the ablutions.
