Am very happy to recommend if you are in need of a glass of wine and something a little bit different to eat. Have a chat to the french owner, she will not steer you wrong if you don't know what to choose. Yes there are probably cheaper places to eat. And yes there may be better tagines elsewhere. But... We were tired and hungry. It was late, and we wanted some wine with our dinner, not easy to find in a Muslim country. We stumbled into Sirocco, a wonderful food, alcohol, and live music venue in the Medina owned by an ex-pat French woman and a Moroccan man. The food is not gourmet, but plenty fine Moroccan cuisine and... More

I've been to Le Sirocco three times on 3 different trips. It has a nice atmosphere, nice staff, a very accommodating owner, and is worth returning too.

A great restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The live music was fantastic. The seafood Tagine is delicious. The place is not cheap but food well cooked delicious seafood it's worth it. They serve alcohol. The Virgin mojito was very good, I'm sure it's just as good with the alcohol. I recommend this place for anyone looking for some good food... More

Lovely restaurant with great ambience. Busy little place with a good menu and serves alcohol - they do a fab mojito but be warned the measures are large!! Live music most nights and a wonderful manager Virginie who is so friendly and helpful she really made us feel at home and gave us a great insight into life in Essaouira.... More

Good food and wine and very reasonably priced and the owner was very welcoming. A magician kept us entertained with some amazing tricks and the overall vibe was great. Would recommend.

We went with 3 adults and 4 children. The food was nice enough, but the attitude to our kids was snooty at best. An acquaintance of ours was playing guitar and whilst waiting for the food the kids would go over to watch, the staff kept shushing them and ushering them out of the way. The restaurant was not busy... More

The place is really nice, in the middle of Essaouira. The food is very good, the owner and the staff are friendly and the environment is good. The only thing is not good is that you are allowed to smoke inside like most of the places there.

It's a nice little place with a reasonably priced menu but we were not impressed by the food. We had the seafood pastilla, the kefta tajine and an assortment of moroccan salads none of which were very good. For moroccan food, there are far better choices elsewhere in essaouira.

We ended up here by accident, as our other choices were closed! This was by far our best meal in Essaouira - Moroccan food, but with a creative twist. The wine was also very reasonably priced...the win we were drinking was 160 dh, where we had been charged 230 dh for it elsewhere. Def worth a visit!
