Quality Indian Food

We ate at Zub Express 4 times during our trip in Mauritus. You get value for money. Usually meals at Indian restaurant are expensive but this one was very affordable. Food was great and portions were so huge that we always had take aways :) We were never disappointed and food always arrived on time. Waiters and staff very friendly as well. Ohh i forgot the restaurant also faces the blue lagoon as well !

Relaxing terrace setting, yum food

We have been eating dinner at Zub each week for the past year and really enjoy it. The terrace is very relaxing and if you time it right the sunset is wonderful. It is set a little further along the coastal road away from concentration of restaurants but don't let that deter you, use it as an opportunity to walk along the beach as the sun goes down. Menu caters for both Indian and Asian food which is great if you can't decide what to have. Both cuisines are delicious. Service and price are also excellent.

Terrible. Arrogant. Rude.

What a waste of money and time..firstly you on one of the busiest tourist streets in flic en flac, simply have your workers speak English at least. Our waiter was so confused,repeated our order 5 times and still got it bloody wrong. As you walk up the stairs it smells of sewage and to add to that the whole staff have that attitude. Food 3/10, attitude 0/10, ambiance 2/10( and that because of the sea view). Sorry I live in Mauritius but I won't be recommending this place to any family and friends who visit. Please take this message as a positive to improve rather than have the manager respond like all other reviews with an excuse.

Hello We thank you very much for your review. Well, firstly we respect your opinion concerning our food. However we would like to add that our restaurant is cleaned at least 2 to 3 times a day. If one day you are free come and spend a day with us and you shall see yourself Also we would like to add that since now it is the festive seasons we have a lot of trainees coming to work in the restaurant and it may be the case that it is one of the trainees that took your order. Anyway we apologise that your order came wrong To conclude on that, note that we shall always go according to the majority and we let the customers to have their own conclusion. Indeed every review is a positive one and we are always in search of improvement. But sometimes due to some misinterpretation of customers it is always good to clarify some points. First class place to eat

Excellent food and service We visited first lunch there are plenty of options for food. The staff are very attentive and I couldn’t get over at how clean the restaurant was. The cutlery crockery was spotless toilets were super clean. The food was traditional indian food and tasted delicious and was reasonable priced. We will be visiting again. Recommend the Lasoon dhal and aloo paratha On our way out there was a parrot at the cash desk my daughter loved stroking it and playing with. Highly recommend this restaurant a must visit

WORST RESTAURANT !!!!

I do not even know where to start for this review. I went there for dinner and got a table on the terrace. At first it was all very good, nice place, nice atmosphere. We ordered our drinks and then started the nightmare. It started raining and it looked like they had no experience of handling it. Tables were moved but we were still getting drenched. Then came our starters : Poulet Croustillant and Croquette Poulet. The croquette were average and needed to be cooked a little more. But when i bit into the Poulet Croustillant, i was shocked to discover that the chicken was still raw !!! We immediately called the waiter to report this and he did not even apologise, only suggested to remove it from the bill. Our main dishes were then just as bad ! Ordered 1 plain naan and 1 garlic naan which were thick, dry and tasteless. Veg curry had a sour taste from the tomatoes, Prawn with coconut curry had a stale coconut taste. The fried noodles was not better either ! It was dry and bland. The only good thing there was the ice cream, which they did not prepare ofcourse. Overall, i would suggest that they review their cooks or the menu and try to specialise in 1 thing and making it good instead of proposing 50 different dishes and failing in all.

Have been to Zub Express couple of times during my visit to Mauritius... Taste is just perfect Fresh food and good service The only drawback is need to walk 2 kms beach side to reach there... kinda away from main area Indian food is too good Particularly paneer do pyaza Briyani is very tasty Garlic naan is not in indian style Overall experience was good Service was super fast

Good but far not the best in town

We read all those super reviews about the place and were really curious when arrived. Many other clients were there as it is usual in a high valued restaurant. Indian and Chinese kitchen is offered for reasonable prices however the quality was beyond our expectations.

The best restaurant by far!

Last week, I multiple times had the privilege of sharing an amazing meal, with a stunning view, with my family in a restaurant filled with atmosphere! The times we ate here the courses were all delicious and we had a wide range of options to choose from. The staff was helpful and kind, helping us explore what the place had to offer. Overall it was such great value for money that I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Good food and kindness in one place

This was a very nice place to eat last night. The food is very tasty and the service was quick - we were served food 15 minutes after having ordered, but this could be because it was a quieter night than usual. The personnel is very helpful and welcoming. On top of that, they offer a clean and quiet place for salaat for men and women. I think you did a wonderful job at distinguishing yourselves from the other places in the region.... Well done and keep it up!

Good Food, excellent service and nice sunset view

We enjoyed our dinner very much. The service is absolutely great, everyone very attentive and friendly and you have the impression that all the employees are really well trained. The food is very good and we enjoyed the seating very much. You have a wonderful sunset view. Just to let you know: The restaurant does not serve alkohol, but they offer a nice choise of moctails and juices.

Worst restaurant ever in Mauritius

Waiter was cold and blunt when taking the order. Asked for the « magic bowl » dish which was on the menu, requesting the egg not well done. I was told that is was possible because they only serve it well done. After insisting a little, the waiter hesitantly said will check and get back, after which he came back saying that it was not possible because the egg had already been prepared well done. Very strange given that we had not yet ordered anything and were only just starting to order, so not quite sure what he meant ! I ordered another dish and the chicken was just dry and horrible although there was a tasteless sauce. Worst restaurant service experience ever in Mauritius, and not worth the price at all.

Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your review. However we would like to add that firstly like many other restaurant, we have a preparation to do. Our food isn't pre cooked but that doesn't mean that our preparations should be done when you order your food! Moreover you said that the chicken was horrible and tasteless sauce, yet you ate all! We even told you that we'll remove the dishes you didn't like on your bill but you have started to shout at the lady who was at the cashier. Another thing we would like to add and maybe it would be humble for you to add it on your review as well so that another viewer may get an idea of what you done; you took a glass bottle from us! Although the lady told you that this bottle is our property, you took it for you! Anyways thanks for your review Thanks Farhan Zub Express Restaurant

Fast, Fresh, Tasty

Tired after a long hot day, but needed to eat. We ordered a bunch of dishes. The food was out in a flash- hot, fresh, neatly presented and all very tasty. Super friendly and helpful staff. If you are in or around Flic en Flac and feel like Indo Chinese with a Mauritian twist, I highly recommend visiting.

Delicious food at a good price and with a great view

We discovered this place early on and pretty much went 2-3 times a week. Food is tremendously delicious and priced very well! Staff is super friendly and they have a little green bird that’s also very friendly. The terrace at the top is great but you can also order takeaway via WhatsApp and sit on the beach that’s 100m away. Going to miss their food when we go back home!

It was my first time and I absolutely loved the place and atmosphere. The food was deliciously prepared and the variety of meal available was more than expected .. Indian, chinese cuisine with affordable price... Got the chance to meet up with the owner who is a great person and showed us all the facilities available like car rental . We had the chance to tell him how amazing his restaurant is and I extremely recommend everyone to go and taste those yummy foods . ❤️
