Located at city centre, Carpenter street. This place is quite different from others as cooking classes availabled ;besides children can attend art gallery activities and at the same time enjoy their meals. Customers will have a view of the Indian-flatbread (roti canai) preparation methods as well.

My sister and I had the best day ever with Trudy and Emma at the cooking school. The trip to the market was amazing learning about and buying different vegetables and herbs for the cooking class then actually doing the hands on cooking class. The end product was amazing! We were so impressed we took the family back for dinner to the Indah cafe the next night. 2 are vegetarian. The food, service and staff was 5 star. Would highly recommend to any vegans, vegetarians and of course boring people like me!

The staff here are so friendly and even Chef keep sharing menu how to make Nasi Lemak. So clean, taste good and very recommend for Nasi Lemak Ayam Cili Padi, Honey Toast Bread and Tempe Goreng. Affordable price and easy to find location behind Pos Office / Chinatown

This place is great! Excellent food, lovely staff, nice spot to sit outside. The staff promote local foods and artists and there’s a small gallery upstairs. They run trips which are cheaper than travel agencies, with very knowledgeable guides.

As I walked by the China Street, came across the cafe. They have many food choices and coffee. They do provide cooking class, art class and tour too! I suggest you to try the Nasi Ayam Pangsuh, a local specialty food. This is the modern version, whereby Manuk (Ayam/Chicken) Pansuh is traditionally cooked in bamboo.

We loved everything about Indah: the coffee, rice bowls, desserts, and especially Lucien. He is a great resource for travelers. It's also a nice place to meet and chat with other travelers. HIGHLY recommend.

What a lovely little space! We ate there two times (healthy & delicious!) and then spontaneously decided to book their half-day cooking class. That was amazing. Especially the visit to the beautiful local market where they sell soecial jungle produce was a highlight. I wrote down 45 different fruits and vegatables that our knowledgable guide Lucian showed us. We then cooked 5 (!) different dishes together with chef Emma. They were were all SO tasty. I could even adapt the meat dishes into vegetarian options for me. A lot was already prepared and pre-arranged. We would have preferred to maybe do a little bit more of the cooking ourselves. But that‘s just a detail. We definitely recommend 100% to do this class just to get some knowledge about local cuisine and ingredients.

It is not so easy to find proper coffee in Kuching, many places serve instant coffee. The Indah house has excellent coffee as well as great food, also vegan dishes. They also cooperate with local artists and you find good artwork (paintings, photographs books. postcards,....) here. The staff is super friendly and they all speak excellent English. Cooking classes and tours ale also offered.

Great place to hang out. Chill vibes, very cosy, friendly service and most of all - really tasty vegan fare. Also love how much they’re doing to help facilitate the local art scene.

Authentic Malay food at fair prices here. We just arrived from Singapore and needed a place to eat due to the excessive humidity. Friendly staff and an extra plus was fresh coffee instead of the instant variety. Silk paintings and homemade pastries are also available.

We are strolling around close by to our hotel and we found this little gem around the corner of our hotel. We are so amazed on how the food is so yummy! Definitely an authentic Malaysian food! We loved our nasi lemak with different curry beef on the sides. We loved the ambiance although the restaurant is small but it’s clean and the staffs are so friendly. We are definitely going back there again soon.

Absolutely LOVED my food here and great vibes. Just a bummer on no wifi so have to dink a star. But you can pay by card!! YAY 🙌 I advised they change the plastic placard by the till to say you can pay by ApplePay. I had the veg/vegetarian nasi goreng, which I was so glad to have as I’d been wanting to try one of the national dishes of Malaysia but this is meat-based. So I was so glad to have a tasty veg option. I thought the portion was quite small at first glance but it ended up being filling. I had the vegan chocolate cake slice for takeaway and it was DELICIOUS. Not “vegan” tasting at all. It’s definitely moderately priced, not cheap, but so worth it. Friendly staff as well. I really debated on taking away a slice of the divine-looking PB chocolate cake the next day but resisted. I was so sad I couldn’t fit in one of the amazing sounding coconut ice cream shakes. I must return!!! I also got a bag of gula apong tempe (sounds like a weird combo but it works) and devoured it over 2 days in traveling. I’m sad they don’t ship to London!!

This cafe is so unique, beautiful place with a lot of character, extremely friendly staff and great food. I had one of smoothies and a the fuel up bowl which was great. Gentleman that welcomed us gave us information about the local area and and is clearly passionate about his country.

I came across this cafe by accident, but what a find!! I went twice during my stay in Kuching! The staff were delightful, including Colin who took great care of me and also assisted me with a guide to visit Bako National park. The food was delicious and authentic.
