As our nap took longer than intended, we overslept and woke up hungry past the usual dinner time. Thanks to Google, we found this place which apparently had food. Only three stalls were open when we got there; ice cream, noodles and dumplings. We ordered the kolo mee which was thankfully edible, but the tomato mee was not as nice,... More

Love the beef noodles (soup a tad too salty this round) with the succulent thin slices of beef. The beef tripe was tasty and not chewy at all. The famous red kolomee was quite good but we should have asked for their qq noodles instead of the straight noodles. Siobee (siumai) was really delicious and the cold soya milk completed... More

This place is actually a hawker centre under roof, so it is not "open air." In it, plenty of food stalls selling food from morning till night. However, most stalls open in the morning and close in late evening. Try the kolo mee here which is the best food on offer, IMHO. Also try the ice-cream gula apong which is... More

Yes it is not a restaurant, more a warung, or several warungs. But there are tables where you can sit down, it is a bit dirty around the market, but great food. All the ingredients are fresh, the plates are clean and the food marwelous! Sit down and be patient, it will take time before you get your food! When... More

This is where the local people go. Located at the heart of Kuching city, easily accessible and near to the places of interest (waterfront, India Street, Plaza Merdeka). Food price start from RM3.00-4.00 and you can find various of street foods here.

This naturally ventilated hawker centre has been around for generations and most locals would have had happy memories enjoying beef noodles, soya milk, sio bee (siew mai) and shaved ice desserts with family and friends. One of the unique thing about this place is that people from all walks of life, upper, middle and lower class of all races frequent... More

This place has 2 sides, one side is more for the heavy meal and porridge and the other side is more of the local street food, open from morning till night but I'm mostly there at night for the local "sio bee" (meat balls) and soya bean drink. They have very popular "red" kolo mee as well. Food here are... More

The chinese food section is a favourite amongst the people in Kuching. The building was the old fire station of Kuching - hence the tower which is a good landmark for spotting the hawker centre. Inside a lot of Chinese families cook up various different kind of dishes. The stalls owners tend to coax you into eating at their tables... More
