We came here because the good reviews on tripadvisour. We were served half of our food and waited another half hour for our tandoori chicken to arrive to find that the chicken was not actually chicken and we could not eat it. We clearly ordered chicken and we asked the waiter what it was, he said vege so we asked... More

This place was recommended and we are sure glad we went there. Our server made several recommendations and they were delicious. Had the Chicken Masala and the Mutton Curry. Both were well seasoned. Food came to our table quickly. Definitely favored by locals.

Most of the breakfast items listed had finished by 10 AM. I am surprised that a south indian place doesn't have idli in the morning. Infact no coffee either. Anyway rest of the breakfast was good.

... we fell for one of those 'up sell' tricks that hasn't got us for years! Great curries, cold beer, friendly service, lots of locals - just stick to what you plan to order and avoid the suggestions of the 'off menu' platters.

Was craving for Indian Food so friend suggested this one. We were both not sure what to order so with vague previous experience, friend proposed a few items and luckily the waiter was patient enough to introduce and explain to us the dishes and how to order. When food were served, we were relieved the portion was just right for... More

Spicy Indian food. Fairly authentic and reasonably priced. Spoilt for choice and quick service. There are 2-3 branches in Penang Island itself. A good sized crowd during lunch.

Sri Ananda Bahwan (SAB) in Penang Street Little India used to my favorite place for Indian meal. I have been coming to one of SAB outlets since year 2000. After they opened an outlet next to Penang Sports Club in Macalister Road, I stopped going all the way to Little India for Indian meal. It is closer to get to... More

My husband and I visited Little India for the first time looking at the shops and restaurants. Extremely hungry we came upon Sri Ananda Bahwan on the corner of Lebuh China and Penang street. Basic decor but extremely clean with lots of room. Take away counter at the front with a multitude of dishes and desserts to choose from. We... More
