I found this place to be a perfect fit for a weekend afternoon though I wish if I could get the seat by the window overlooking the street ! The CostaRican coffee was perfect with the Danish Tuna. The place is quite and easy.

Quiet coffee shop to read, have a hot drink, contemplate the plants and eat a cake. I think i ate the most fabulous pistacchio cake of my life!! Definitively the place to meet the john le carre soul and discover fine french patisserie.

Whist spending 13 days enjoying all Georgetown has to offer we came across the Constant Gardener coffee shop. This became our favourite go to cafe for their choice of delicious coffees, teas and cakes.  A lovely oasis to retreat to when exploring, we particularly liked...their iced coffee during the day and superb hot coffee at night. Many coffee restaurants in Georgetown but this one 'hit the spot' for us. Mustn't forget to mention  the Iovely staff also.More

This is surely one of the better cafes in Penang. The coffee is fragrant and the latte art is very beautiful.

Beautiful service in a nice, cosy cafe , right in the middle of Georgetown. Service is friendly and warm. Coffee is freshly brewed with love and care. Tried their juices , refreshing especially the bok choy. The seating is comfortable and very popular among the...locals as well. Price is usual for a cafe.More

The coffee was good, the cake selection in the cabinet was tempting, and the staff were kindly and attentive, but I am not sure if they are just targeting Chinese Malaysians, or if they have a poor taste in music, but the annoying music on...repeat drove me out of this place and I will never return. It has all the ingredients for being a great place, but the music is the vital element to success, and on that count, you only get 3 stars.More

They serve exotic single origin chocolate and coffee drinks, and they open late at night, which is quite a rarity for cafes in Penang as most close by 10pm. The atmosphere is peaceful and enjoyable, a great late night hangout place for both locals and...tourists alike.More

Not as what we expected! Sorry to say that we were really disappointed. Location was good but the area was so difficult to get parking. Once we got it and went to the cafe, nothing is special there. Only small selection of pastries and coffees....It will be great if they can serve simple lunch menu. Hopefully next time we go, they will improve. Good luck!More

Definitely a suitable place to read or for serious conversations, taking that it’s quiet. The selection of teas is unique as well.

I ordered a cappuccino and filtered coffee (Panama Elida Natural). The cappuccino was okay, had a good texture, not too strong, but lack of character. And the filtered coffee was below my expectation. The coffee was watery, a little bit floral (very subtle) and not...as complex as the natural process tastes like. What a waste of good beans.More

Great coffee in Georgetown! The cashier/Baristas were all so friendly and accommodating. They were also patient and knowledgeable about the various coffee beans. The hospitality at this shop is truly what separates this shop from the competition. The ladies have their way of warming the...ambiance and making the customers feel more welcomed than at other cafés we visited during our holiday. The Ethiopian beans were delicious and the presentation was Pinterest worthy. The mocha was quite nice as well. Lighting is perfect for photos and the room seemed to be buzzing with locals and expats conversing and typing away. Location is convenient for those visiting the Esplanade Park, Fort Cornwallis, or any other attractions in the surrounding area. Highly recommend a visit! Blueberry ice cream is dynamite!More

I ordered the "dark magic" and it was the best hot chocolate!! Cafe is cozy and the atmosphere is warm, so I'm not surprised to find it almost full during tea time.
