We were also guests at the hotel within which the restaurant sits. So the feedback here is within that context. And, also, as the number 1 place to eat/drink in George Town: you gotta be able to take the good with the bad, right! We...More

We had the pleasure of having dinner at Kebaya during our trip to Penang. Food was remarkably tasty. When one hears of Peranakan food with a modern twist, one might think.. i would rather have the authentic food. But be pleasantly surprised. 4 course dinner...More

The Kebaya is located in the Seven Terraces Hotel, where we stayed. I'm not a big foodie, but the food was great and the service was low key but flawless.

Never tasted anything this good, seriously. Maybe it is the fresh ingredients, I don't know. Went for vegetarian sets with a couple of friends. Their desserts were special, they were basically traditional desserts with an Asian touch. Will definitely be coming back.

I'm surprised to hear the restaurant can't accept disabled guests as it is located on the ground floor. entry and exit may be a little tricky though as Kebaya is housed in a conservation building.

Kebaya is the diningroom of the Seven Terraces and is open to hotel guests and the public.Open daily, 7pm till 10pm.Christopher Ong has worked with the hotel’s chefs to create a menu of classic Indo and Straits Chinese Nyonya dishes. They have refined these using French cooking techniques and innovative produce to deliver surprising new twists on this already fascinating cuisine. The effect is simple, delicious full of flavour and dazzling.A four course degustation menu of entrée, main course, vegetables and dessert is served in Chinese style to allow guests to share the dishes. The Baba Bar is open daily from 2pm onwards, with live piano music in a very intimate setting.
