Although much more pricey compared with the local street food, the 4 course meal at Kebaya was a great experience for something different in fine dining. Prices were 120RM++ per person which is great value. The atmosphere was great with a live pianist also. Highly recommended

Treat my mom a dinner at Kebaya Dining Room for her birthday. No doubt the price is kinda high but it was well worth. We had Pork Mantou and Otak Otak (Appetiser), Duck Confit and Grilled Snapper (Main Course), Cher Chai and Wing Bean Kerabu (Greens), and finally yummy Dessert Tang Yuen and Pana Cota. Food was very nice and... More

Tucked in a quiet corner of Lorong Stewart at George Town (Penang Island), one can hardly miss the Kebaya Restaurant with its prominent traditional setting. It is a cosy and quiet restaurant for fine dining and to catch up with friends, families and even business associates for a different gourmet experience. Dining will not be hurried but it comes with... More

We had a return visit for dinner to Kebaya during our recent stay at Seven Terraces (see separate review). We had a couple of cocktails before dinner at the 'bababar' and you should definitely try the signature cocktails, the creation of Poom who has been with the group for many years. They are a little more expensive but taste superb... More

They only offer 4 course meals, no ala carte. The the meal options are few but well thought and you should find something to your liking. For appetizer, i tried the one with betel leaf, forgot the name but was a complete flavor and texture explosion in my mouth. And the fish that i ordered for main was also delicately... More

The best and most expensive meal I had in Penang but very worth it! The set menu has a lot of options and the food was exquisite.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Each of the courses we had were all delicious, two of us ate here and we ordered something different for each course so that we could try more things. The real stand out of the show was the Red Snapper Curry, was one of the best things we... More

This was a wonderful experience. The food is great with enough choices to make it hard to decide. Everything we had was fabulous with a variety of spices and combinations which were interesting and delicious. The service was great with one waiter even bringing us an uncooked vegetable so we could see what it looked like before the kitchen had... More

Kebaya is the diningroom of the Seven Terraces and is open to hotel guests and the public.Open daily, 7pm till 10pm.Christopher Ong has worked with the hotel’s chefs to create a menu of classic Indo and Straits Chinese Nyonya dishes. They have refined these using French cooking techniques and innovative produce to deliver surprising new twists on this already fascinating cuisine. The effect is simple, delicious full of flavour and dazzling.A four course degustation menu of entrée, main course, vegetables and dessert is served in Chinese style to allow guests to share the dishes. The Baba Bar is open daily from 2pm onwards, with live piano music in a very intimate setting.
