China House literally has a cosmopolitan gathering of people who come for lunch, diner, tea, drinks, music and live band. However, we suggest that the owners do cater for vegetarians with better variety - if not at least serve good vegetarian pizza, pastas, etc ....More

The place itself is very quaint, but after jostling with people the novelty wears off. The cake selection was amazing, the taste not quite as much. It took us ages to get served and our waiter kept forgetting half the things. As it often happens,...More

Had lunch and dessert. Lunch was surprisingly good. Mouth watering selection of cakes on display, however they were ok, not spectacular. Very crowded at all times, constant stream of patrons.

Although I like to watch Acidic Bunch, the place is just too smoky. Wish the ventilation could be better or they could ban smoking altogether like bars in Hong Kong. Then kids could come along.

The building was a warehouse in the olden days with two fronts connecting two roads. Lots of character and charm, the owner is also creative to use old parts and pieces of the old Penang as furnitures as well as really old hardly seen pieces...More
