Located just beyond the Nagore area, this is a small restaurant that serves up a very delicious range of nyonya cuisine. Our group of 6 allowed us to sample a range of their menu, so we had some local staples (lor bak, fish head curry), to the more interesting (wild boar rendang, fish stomach curry). The anchovies appetizer was yummy,... More

Although I have enjoyed Nonya cooking in Singapore, KL, Melacca and George Town, I would never claim to be an expert, however many times I try it. Our return to this brash, simple, noisy place after a few years was based on a memory of authenticity and a strong local clientele. And it was just the same! Friendly staff who... More

Saw many celebrity photos on the wall and thought this place was very popular. Although the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, my singaporean friends and I found the food average. We had the Ayam ros, sambal udang petai, Asam pedas, fried sambal kangkong, chap Chye and the pickled onions with crispy anchovies. The Ayam ros was the most... More

Lovely service and good recommendation of dishes by the lady-in-charge. The Assam Pendas was amazing; Tau Yew Bak was awesome and Pork Trotter's Soup was like what my mum used to cook too, so that brought back good memories.

I am a former Penangite so my taste bud for authentic Penang food is rather picky. This restaurant serves quite good Penang food compared to other restaurants which have become "halal" these days ie no pork dishes. Ambience is homely and pleasant. I brought 4 Singapore friends with me and a Penang cousin joined us as she was our chauffeur... More

The place was full of locals, families enjoying their Sunday lunch. The food was good and very affordable. The service was fast and efficient. Rice is served unlimited but they will control the portions, maybe to avoid wastage. The beef rendang, the vegetable dishes and the soup with coconut milk was representative of Penang. The rest room though could be... More

Hi and thank you for your feedback. First of all, we would like to apologize if our staff had given yourself a very bad impression. Please do not take it the wrong way as it's quite customary for local restaurants to clear off empty plates on guest's tables; as we would like to ensure a clean table during your dining.... More

Whenever I have family or business visitors in Penang, they always opt for nyonya food. My tendency is to take them to restaurants that I frequently visit. This time I have my cousins fron Singapore and my wife suggested to go Mum's Nyonya. It turn out to be a good choice. I like the sambal goreng and petai. Perut ikan... More

Have a good lunch with my family, ordered dishes like Assam fish, prawn, banana leaf otak and non spicy food for children like chicken, pork. You will feel very welcomed like dining at home.
