After Jalan Kuala Kangsar is a road goes to behind of Chowrasta Market . Mamy local food stalls and little food court and it is good to visit the local market. Beware of pick pocket there. You can find may be the only 1 or 2 stalls left in Penang selling the pig intestine porridge/ 猪肠粥. A Cantonese porridge at... More

The Kuala Kangsar Market is a daily street market, along the Jalan Kuala Kangsar, with an untold number of stalls selling foodstuff and useful non-food articles. Great street market close to Campbell Street. Much fresh produce - fruit, vegetables, fish & meat. As well as knick knacks and some fashion items. The odd food stall too

The market was very interesting. We could purchase basic hawker food early in the morning. It is also near to Chowrasta Market. There are authentic shops around that area. Worthwhile to browse around.

One of the oldest morning market in town. A lot of yummy hawker food you can find in here. Such as Curry noodle in the back street or in the corner of the coffee shop in the middle of the market.

This is an open air street market filled with everything from live ducklings and hamsters to food , fresh vegies brought in by Thai traders , womens underwear sold by a man , cheap stuff as low as a ringgit or two. Come on a Subday morning and observe. Do not be tricked by the beggars no matter how tragic... More
