Although We were not a guest at this super deluxe facility, we were granted access to the beach bar, we were touring around the island and were not aware this was a private location. We have been granted access and we have been served if...we were guests who stayed there. What an incredible lovely luxury place. Their service is one of the best I have had the last years. Great food and drinks most of all the staff is so friendly. I am not sure if you always get access granted to this location, but a thank you to the member of the security entrance who made effort to the manager to get us in.More

The Beach Club at the Datai continues to just give and give. The location. Is magical with view across Datai Bay. The food is a mixture of different international culinary backgrounds served in a fresh modern chic style. The portion size is good and the...waiters are well informed as to the menu. Outstanding food, excellent service and stunning ambience - just awesome. We’ll be back.More

We decided to have dinner here at The Beach Club of The Datai after we had to have breakfast here one morning due to the main restaurant being closed due to a flood. (Which as is totally normal at The Datai was handled in the...most positive way with an almost seamless transfer, no mean feat for over 100 people) A lovely location not quite overlooking the beach but does overlook the lower swimming pool and you do of course benefit from sea breezes. The menu is predominately of European flavours very well put together. Once again the service is outstanding from a really wonderful team of staff one of whom must be mentioned the lovely Adam who is outstanding in his patron skills. A very pleasant venue to spend a relaxing almost European by the Sea type evening with top quality food.More

A stylish beach club and bar with a variety of seating - on the beach, by the pool, in the restaurant. A good mix of salads, burgers and grilled items. If you dine just before sunset you might be lucky enough to see the dusky...leaf monkeys - incredible.More

There is a wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish to choose from which can then be prepared and cooked to order or pick something from the main menu . The service is friendly but professional and there is an area undercover if you have...the misfortune to experience rain on your visit also if you are in the area shortly after dusk you are likely to see Colugos and Bats , the bats perform a useful service of controlling mosquitoes and other insects .More

We walked around datai bay from our own hotel (the Andamann) who has historically enjoyed a reciprocal arrangement with the Datai recently reopened from refurbishment. We sat at the beach pool bar for a light lunch. When we were seated we were asked for our...room number and said we we were staying at the Andaman. The young waiter went to a more senior colleague who within our sight line rolled his eyes... After being taken to the side by his more senior colleague the young man returned to us to ask how were we paying!!! By cash? At this point having one imagines given a satisfactory response we were permitted to order. Our glass of wine each arrived just fine, water we had to request not less than 3 times. Our food arrived after a short delay ( no problem to us) I took a bite of my chicken Satay and was perplexed by the texture which was slimy. I cut into the next piece to see completely raw chicken. The impression was that it had not been cooked at all the outer flesh jcured by the marinade. My food was returned having been inspected by a (different) senior member of staff . Our young waiter returned to ask if I would like to have it cooked more? Sadly by that point the answer was to say not at all and to go. The senior staff member kindly waived the bill ( not really the point) and asked we would consider to return? The answer? Not in a rush to... Having suffered badly from a food poisoning problem in the past I am reluctant to dine where the kitchen has no system to cook the most basic of dishes safely. Ready to launch? Only with a doctor in the house...More

Had lunch here - as others have indicated, you have to book to be allowed in the main gate. We called from the gate to book a table. We sat right by the beach under the trees, which was comfortable even on a warm afternoon....Their version of nasi lemak with lobster was excellent. Good cocktails and wine by the glass. Excellent service. Bring your swim gear and take a dip in the sea and/or pool while you are there.More

This stunning restaurant has recently undergone renovations making it even more magical. The extended decking means that you can enjoy a candlelit dinner under the stars so close to the shore of wonderful Datai Bay. There has been a great attention to detail and everything...from large lanterns that cast pretty patterns across the floor to new tableware - this all contributes the wonderful experience. The restaurant changes mood throughout the day. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch with views of turquoise sea as well as several delicious dinners. The staff are well trained and the service is outstanding. The menu at lunch and dinner are different providing a wealth of choice. At dinner we enjoyed the scallop and prawn appetiser which was fresh and beautifully presented. The sea bass fillet was equally as delicious as a main course. It is a relaxed venue whilst providing the excellent quality you know you can rely upon from the Datai. We are currently planning our return visit.More

The grill chef is a grandmaster. The seafood and meats are grilled to perfection - soft, juicy, chargrilled outside, tastes heavenly. However we were disappointed that some popular items weren't replenished for the buffet - e.g salmon sashimi and boiled crabs.

Ari, Shamim, Khairul, Adan and Rizal from the Beach Club were fantastic! We ordered pizzas on the two occasions were visited and there were fantastic - especially the seafood pizza which had plenty of toppings on it! These 4 gentlemen always check on us whether...we were feeling comfortable and topped up our cold water promptly. Lastly, something that surpassed my expectations was the little chocolate ice cream cones the team distributed to all their guest at about 3pm along the beach. I thought this was memorable and a great initiative to keep guests happy!More

We went one night to this restaurant and what a surprise of sea food we had. It is a different set up than the gulai house and pavilion but quality of food was fantastic. We requested a fish soup and as main a sea cold/hot...plater as we were e pecting a plate with cold and hot food, by our surprise it came up as a massive selection from oyster to tigger prawns. Next time we will repeat this feast 🙏🙏More
