Nice authentic restaurant but food is not fantastic. The portion sizes are small especially the shashlik's. The food is very tasty but I've had better food elsewhere. They have dancing girls which do add to the experience. I would recommend a visit as it is a very nice experience.

I do really recommend this place, especially for people visiting Kazakhstan first time, as you can try there very original tasty Central Asian cuisine. Prices are quite acceptable, and they have even evening shows with some acrobats and dancers.

Enjoyed the food at Alasha. We sat outside in a private booth but with views on to the rest of the place around a central square. There was also a show that night of Uzbek and Khazak dancing. The decor is well worth the visit alone!

Alasha is an experiential dining event. You do not go for gourmet food and wine. It is to experience the best of Silk Road with traditional Uzbekistan food and entertainment. Service is adequate but can be a challenge on busy nights. Food is interesting and tasty enough to satisfy but is not the highlight of your evening. It is the... More

We visited Alasha on a Sunday evening in April 2016. Maybe we should have checked for local habits on Sunday, because it was very quiet with hardly any other people and there was no music and no dance. A bit of a shame because the website says there is live music every evening. We picked out this place for our... More

Very nice restaurant and beautiful place. You can enjoy a very good typical food from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with a fantastic and kind service. Price is reasonable. Also it's funny to be evolved in the dance show that guys and girls makes for the visitors. 100% recommend if you visit Almaty.
