Good food but small portions

Went there with the family. The service was good and the food tasty. Portions were rather on the small side for Almaty standards. Big plus: the staff is used to non-native speakers and understands English well.

For a basic dinner with 4 beers for two people we paid almost 75€ what I consider overpriced. Despite of price I must say that the service was excellent, waitresses were attentive and efficient. By 21:00 there was a dance performance - interesting. Chinese customers next to our table were extremely loud, shouting, singing and clapping with hands... staff was... More

The atmosphere is very good. It has a courtyard with private rooms for families. You can taste camel milk, horse meat if you like. Camel milk is sour and I did not like it. Horse meat is like beef. Their soups are good but it was in a very big bowl. I could not finish. You can ask half soup... More

Very nicely decorated place for fine dining . In almaty driving around is easy ; with a car or a taxi . The location is just above the city and this restaurant also serves a little above the standarts to get a good selection of local traditional dining experience . We really liked the visit and I will suggest this... More

This restaurant has very dilsious food. Here you can try traditioanal Kazakh food, and Central Asia region dishes. The atmospher is very close to the Central region's countries and very cozy. The most tasty food for me is "Samsy". It's reminds me students time in Kyrgystan. Every evening they have entertainment program (even on Monday) with music and dances, but... More

This restaurant offers good service. However, the selection of vegetarian food was very, very limited. The entertainment was very tacky.

We went to this place with a large international group attending a workshop. Service was fast and good, entertainment program a bit kitschy, but not very long and noisy. The food was OK featuring mainly Uzbek but also some Kazakh dishes. Lamb kabobs could have been better to my taste. May be, my selection was not the best for the... More

Traditional Kazakh food including a cracking smoked horse which is now my favourite way to est the beast. Kebabs galore with all the greaat pickled veg that help lighten up the meat heavy Kazakh farr. And the there were belly dancers and a rope wlking troupe a bit kitsch but it actually added to the experience.

The service was excellent and the staff handed out shawls for anyone feeling the chill on a night time. The entertainment was outstanding with dancers and a high wire act. The meal was different from home which added to the experience.
