Went at the recommendation of a random taxi driver, and he wasn't wrong. They have lineups most of the day, but the turnover is fast so we were in and out in under 30 minutes. Place is located at the main road, no trouble finding it. This is old-school restaurant, fairly cheap. Mostly workers seem to come here, but I saw also few suit guys comming from work. If you like salty food, Udon Bakaichidai is a good choice, but it can be overload if you do not. The noodles are firm and good, but the broth is overwhelmed by the salt so there is not much flavor. Grab the butter Udon... Its so good!! Its a small place and people line up for it... But that's because its really good.... Tempura is also fantastic!

Udon Bakaichidai (Big Idiot) is a very popular little local establishment about a ten minute walk east of the local serving Kawaramachi train station.
