I visit Uehara with group of 4 on 5th Mar. The Chef arrange us to sit in front of the Sushi bar. Sushi are very nice and it is very enjoyable to see the smooth and skilful movement of Chef while making sushi. The sushi set lunch cost about USD200/pax. Can't say it is cheap but the quality and taste... More

When you first stepped into the shop, the first things that you could see are a large car park full with cars, and a long queue waiting to enter the restaurant. Since the restaurant bases on "first come first get seat", that means you might need to take some time to wait the people inside to finish their meals first.... More

A cheap place, sort of self service, where udon are cooked for you and you add on what you want. The incredibly friendly atmosphere of the Japanese working ladies.

Fantastic place for lunch before visiting Ritsurin Koen. You choose small or large size udon, the cook for five seconds in the hot water bath then add chopped spring onions, pepper and tempura flakes. This our 2nd visit to Ueharaya for Sanuki Udon, and even though they have moved to a bigger fancier spot, the experience was still fantastic.
