Shirokuma is a traditional dessert, which is ice-flake with fruits, Japan agar, and beans. Muzak is a famous restaurant as it is one of birthplaces of Shirokuma. Ice-flake is so soft that I could eat it without any difficulties. Normal size is a bit big, so I recommend baby size of Shirokuma.

Best shaved ice place I've been to in Asia!! There are tons of options to choose from so take your time and choose wisely. I've been here 10+ times and Evey time I try a new type. Kagoshima is the perfect place for such a place

We went for the snow slushes that it is famous for and were not disappointed. Had the "classic" which was 720 YEN and was covered in fruit and more than enough for two people. Was full of people. Would recommend as a fun and unique dessert place!

Went there early jan 2016 when I was traveling in Kagoshima. Didn't try last year because the weather was too cold. It's warm this year in Jan in Kagoshima, so why not try it. I was staying in a hotel near Kagoshima Chuo station and took a bus to tenmokan. The place is easy to find, in a crowded shopping... More

Came over for dessert after our dinner. Ordered their signature dessert. It's kinda like condensed milk mixed with shaved ice, with colorful toppings. Found it a little too sweet for our liking. Waitress was polite with the recommendations though.

Seldom having dessert since I started my diet plan couple months ago. However, my cousin highly recommend me to try this shaved ice which is actually the founder (元祖) of this dessert in Japan. Three of us ordered 1 large bowl of the original flavour, also 1 small bowl of strawberry flavour, both full of jelly and fresh fruit, which... More

The dessert is refreshing, something like Singapore's version of ice kacang. The difference is this one used fruits. The taste is a bit too sweet for my liking but overall it is good!
