Went for lunch but thought it is overestimated. I had a loco moko, the portion was not that big , the price is standard , everything around 1,200 JPY. I felt a bit overpriced for the portion/ quality. The food is a mix of hamburguer, Hawaian and Tex-Mex. The environment is quite enjoyable, though not big, with attention to the decoration, many things that look like memorabilia. (and probably can be bought at the shop aside). It was a weekday and the service was ok but on weekends it may be difficult if it is busy.

I have visited this place twice, and twice I have been quite disapointed withe the service/staff. They do not like being busy and would rather turn you away if they are feling under pressure. On one occassion it was 'oh, someone has not turned up for work. Leave me your phone number and we will call you in 30 minutes'. Interestly there was empty tables, and they would not allow me and my partner to wait seated with a hot drink?! I walked onwards weary and tired. They did actially call back in 40 minutes. So do you chance it and just turn up just to be told to go away again? The Cafe is a trendy looking place mindyou.

A few vestiges of the American military's Japanese occupation still exist in Japan in areas that are without, or soon to cede, US military real estate back to its owner, and this Honmoku, Yokohama, hallmark is the best yoking of genius on both sides of the Pacific. Part Johnny Rockets, part Motor Trend/Car and Driver showroom, it's great food, good people, and a map of Post-War Japan you won't find at an Esso station. My daughter had her first American hot dog here, we mutually crawled and rolled in calories that we will never regret, and the '60s diner motif is less acting and more 'why don't we?' Do this before they go broke, or are bought out by a multinational without a heart.

Can't comment on the food, but service/management was lousy. The place was 3/4 empty including seats at the counter but they said they couldn't accommodate us (2 people). We shouldn't have to make reservations - it's a diner for crying out loud - and they ought to have tried to accommodate us instead of basically treating us as unwanted guests...
