Yes we had to wait, yes it was expensive, yes the owner was not the friendliest but YES everything I just stated pales in comparison to the quality. It was fantastic. This was a perfect example of how the Japanese perfect one thing and perfect it well. I would say it was certainly one of the. Eat meals we had... More

My friend and I stop by Gora station to find a place to eat. As we walk around, we found this small restaurant though it is still close, there are 2 people waiting outside. We learned that the couple are still waiting for the opening at 11am. The restaurant seems interesting and we waited until it opened. So we went... More

We were in the queue for an hour in total and the chef Rikyu himself re-confirmed that we would be served before the shop closed so therefore we waited. However, there were some nonsense Chinese who were already eating in the restaurant trying to slot in their parents and asked the chef to do them a favour (by that time,... More

Dipped and coated and deep fried in front of you-so crunchy, moist and delicious! Very... More

Only one thing on the menu but they do it very well, the meal gives you a large price of perfectly prepared pork along with all the trimmings. A neat little place that does one thing but does it well.

We had really excellent pork tasting like no other pork. No sure but it must be famous kurobotu pork. Small restaurant but definitely recommend!

I was recommended by my Airbnb host to this pork cutlet restaurant ’Tonkatsu-Rikyu'. He said that the owner uses only the finest domestic “kurokbuta” pork cutlets and I was not disappointed! They only open from 17:00 to 18.30 for dinner so I arrived early at 17:30. There was a guy already seated and after me there were quickly two more... More

The chef explained the different type of pork cuts to us and accommodated us as we only wanted to share one set between the two of us. The pork is prepared, battered and cooked right in front of you for ultimate freshness. He is a gentle and quiet japanese man so that may be the reason others think he's rude,... More
