For travellers bored of Japanese fare in Hokkaido, this will be a treat. The fried chicken is prepared to perfection. It is served with the chicken piping out and still oozing juices. It is absolutely heavenly. Don't miss this if you are in Otaru. The fried chicken doesn't taste oily at all.

Manage to find. But every Monday, the shop close as rest day. Anyway, you can try the kiosk near Otaru Canal.

We arrived on a Tuesday, slightly after lunch hour but it was still pretty packed. We were seated within 10 minutes. Looking around us, there are both locals and tourist but I would say more tourist. The staff place a card (written in Chinese) at our desk which is the instruction on how to order and our table number. The... More

I read how people are raving about delicious naruto chicken in otaru and how different it is from any other fried chicken on earth. It was first on our agenda when we arrived in otaru and we got the ¥980 half chicken. It arrived freshly cooked, crisp skin and steaming hot meat with every pull. It was good in terms... More

Kitchen closes at 7 PM on Sunday. The restaurant is NOT OPEN ON MONDAY. We attempted to eat here three times but did not actually get to eat here since the hours are not listed anywhere at the time of this review.

Easy to find, near to JR station Fried chicken itself considered well cooked but overall nothing spectacular really... After awhile, the same dish becomes one dimensional, too dry too salty... Can try somewhere else....

We read about this famous Naruto fried chicken in Otaru before we fly over. This is the freshest, non-oily fried chicken we had ever tasted.

Chicken are very well prepared and very well seasoned. The fried half chicken (980¥) is perfectly cooked. The fried wings has different marinate and not to our tastes. The half chicken set was the most sensible choice. You will need some draft Asahi beer to wash down those fried food, Sapporo beer only in bottles. Get your table then go... More

When we were in Otaru, we decided to try out something special and found this restaurant. We need to take number for your table and sat at the entrance. You can see many signatures on the wall. We ordered the fried chicken set with rice, miso soup and tofu¥1000 and half fried chicken ¥980. There is sushi and sashimi too.... More

We ordered take out from this place and even before we reached the hotel, the delicious smell of fried chicken was already wafting through the air. We thought that by the time we had our dinner, the chicken would have turned into a soggy mess. But an hour later, the skin was still crispy on the outside (even though the... More
