This restaurant looks cosy, but I found the chap serving to be off-hand and not interested in either welcoming us or guiding us through the menu. Quite a few of the items were sold out (even though we were the first people in that evening), and there was no interest from him in trying to recommend alternatives. We left after... More

nice little restaurant located in the Ainu handicraft village near Lake Akan. Not much items on the menu, which is often a good sign. I certainly enjoyed the venison bowl I had here! Very friendly service.

Loved the venison bowl. It was very well seasoned and not gamey at all. The salmon and vegetable soup meal was also tasty but my favorite was the venison.

A quaint little place, mainly catering to tourists but not at all overpriced. If you've had enough fish and crave some meat, try the venison bowl - very tasty!

The menu is understandably limited; this is a small 20-seater cafe/ restaurant and practically a one man-show. People who come here are not in a hurry. There’s... More

We stumbled on this restaurant as we were walking around the Ainu Kotan area and I opted for the local special of venison. the only downside I would say is the restaurant seems to get overwhelmed with more than 3 tables although the food is served in an acceptable time (If you are in a hurry not the place for...
