If you love the above and you happen to be in Kushiro, this is the palce to go for reasonably price seafood at its freshes. We like the Uni and Toro ...yum yum. Don’t miss it. Open for breakfast and lunch.

This was the second time I visited Washoichiba. You can find all the very fresh sashimi, snow crabs, grilled unagi etc. The rock melon is very sweet. The market also sells dried scallops, dried shrimps etc. This is a place you should not miss if...More

Did what the locals do. Bought a rice at rice station then head into market to select our sashimi to go with it. There are so many choices but only one tummy so must choose wisely. The children had cooked food like ramen and katsudon....More

Make this your first stop when you come to Kushiro, not because it's a "must-visit" place or that the sashimi here is exceedingly delicious. But because its good to get this place out of your bucket list of places/things to do in Kushiro. It's one...More

Oct 20 We had a late afternoon departure from Kushiro to Chitose. From the Lake Akan hotel we took the courtesy bus to the Kushiro bus terminal. The Washo Market is only 3 blocks away. Exploring the market is fun. The seafood is attractively presented,...More

The Watte-don is a must-try at the market. U basically go to the rice shop to choose your size of rice bowl, and then go to any of the other seafood stalls to choose your choice of seafood (king salmon, tuna of various parts of...More

We had arrived rather late to this market yet everyone was so welcoming. The variety of seafood to choose from was incredible. The best dish here for us was the uni and the Hairy crabs. The rest of the sashimi were superb too.

The market with a free underground car park (for first 2hours) offered many stores selling local produce and restaurants. However, the attention probably centred around main eating area surrounded by stores selling sashimi and various cooked seafood where you get to mix and match. Prices...More
