Worth the wait! We were in doubt upon arrival whether we would sit out the wait or not. There were 4 to 5 couples before us. Luckily we decided to sit it out. After approximately 45 minutes we were seated at the bar behind which an elderly man was instructing his two helpers when and where to roast which yakitori.... More

This place is great with plenty of skewers to chose from, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We came here for dinner on a quiet Sunday evening. We went to the branch that is situated right next to the side lane that leads to the Achi Shrine on Honmachi-Higashimachi Street. There was no queue that evening and so, we were ushered to the counter seats since we didn't have a reservation. Place is small with mostly local... More

There is no real issue finding this restaurant as the street numbers included in the restaurants description are on clear display on the outside of this building. We were in Kurashiki three nights and called here on the first but it was full of locals. That night we found an alternative which was also Yakitori but we returned here the... More

We had to wait a while to get in but very much worth it. Beautifully cooked and presented food obviously also enjoyed by locals. If you are in Kurashiki we would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner.

Really had a wonder evening at Takadaya last night. There was a wait but well worth the time spent in line. We were seated at the counter where we had ringside seats to all the action. The owner at 78 years young orchestrates the going like a true master. He alone is worth the price of admission. But there's more,... More

There are 2 units for restaurant of the same name there. One is bigger than the other. One morr for waiting in the queue. Try the various meats. They are delicious.

It's totally worth it to try to find this little spot! There seem to actually be two owned by the same people but the food was great. Albeit that service here was sometimes hard to find.

We went here based off reviews we'd seen. Keen to try out the local yakatori (meat on sticks) we thought this place looked great. The restaurant is hard to find however and other than a sign written in characters there was no labelling. We accidentally walked in to the restaurant next door and sat down to find severed fish heads... More

This place was a bit hard to find (no restaurant name in romanji on the outside) but once inside, we got seats at the bar - highly recommendable - and watched the staff prepare the best yakitori's for us we ever had. An English menu is available and the night we were at Takadaya, one of the staff members spoke... More
