This is one of the nicer restaurants we have found in this area. The salad bar is always fresh with lots of extras. Large portion sizes. Fast friendly service. If you like chicken tenders they are huge and enough for two meals.

I usually will not write a review if I don't enjoy the experience. This restaurant needs one though. I have never been there, but my girlfriend had been a good while ago. Parking space are tight if you have a larger vehicle, unless parking in the way back. We got a warm greeting as we entered and were seated immediately.... More

We stopped on a weekday afternoon for lunch and walked out after waiting 1/2 hour for our order to be served. There were about 15 other people in the restaurant but apparently it was too much to handle for them. We ordered 3 of the same lunch specials and sat for 1/2 hour without even a piece of bread on... This is a nice place to hit when driving to Sacandaga or other points north of Amsterdam. Easy stop off of Route 30N with an excellent menu.

This is a wonderful restaurant located in Amsterdam, NY. The food is always delicious and filling. The prime rib is on point every time I've had it. The meals come with a modest salad bar with some fresh hot bread at the end. If your in the area definitely stop here.

We got there early on a Saturday evening. Our waitress needed a little improvement but our meal was exceptional! We both had the salad bar, French onion soup, steaks and baked potatoes. Our steaks were cooked perfectly with a little char for flavor. The sauteed mushrooms was a nice accompaniment. This is a bit of a classy place so I... More

The best part of the day was the waitress. She was attentive, friendly without being pushy. The meal was average at best and the price increased $2-$2.50 from the last time we visited a few months back. We ordered off the light fare menu. The dinner prices have always been high. This is a restaurant that is living on its... More

Not everything is great, but the atmosphere is nice. Feels like you are in a different restaurant,by the different seating areas. Salad bar is wonderful. Some high end meals, some lite fare, or burger. Full bar and can seat 1person or more. Great for parties, great as a go to restaurant. Staff is always polite and attentive.

Description
In 1980, the Raindancer Restaurant, located at 4582 Route 30, was established by Doreen and Walter Porath. This family-run business has grown considerably during the past 35 years. In an effort to stay current and better serve the community, the restaurant has had numerous additions, renovations and creative concepts that were implemented to keep things fresh. This constant improvement, combined with the old-fashioned notion of ample portions, quality ingredients, top-notch service and the community support we have continued to receive, has kept the Raindancer at the top of everyone's dining list throughout the years.

At the Raindancer, we offer different menus for all occasions. Whether it's a quiet, romantic dinner, casual dining, take-out and party platters or to help you plan a party, the Raindancer is here for you. We have multiple dining rooms available to help make that special occasion something extra special. We offer a banquet menu that can be customized to fit your special occasion. We can accommodate for bereavement luncheons, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, receptions or company business meetings.

We are open year-round with the exceptions of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Memorial Day. For all other holidays, we offer dinner features such as a traditional Thanksgiving dinner or a Mother's Day or Easter dinner for your family.

Our dinner and lite fare (lunch) menus are available throughout the restaurant anytime. Choose from a selection of over 80 items on our menu and our daily feature board (Polish Night is every Tuesday). Plus, we offer an exceptional salad bar with breads baked in-house daily. If you plan to eat at any earlier hour, we offer an early bird menu seven days a week. The Raindancer also offers any of our menu items, party platters and features for take-out (except the early bird menu). Just call ahead and your order will be ready at our pickup window.

And if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat, then join us in our cocktail lounge and enjoy great food, great atmosphere and a wide variety of wines and beer alongside one of our fireplaces. We offer over 80 Wines by the glass and 20 different beers on tap.

The Raindancer Restaurant opens at 11:30 am, Monday through Saturday and at 12:30 p.M. On Sundays. We look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner or your next special occasion.
