Return visit to an old favorite, a bunch of recent changes. Food quality is still very good, but prices seem higher. There's now an amazing beer selection, but it's evident most of the wait staff and bartenders don't know anything about them - gave up after the second misidentified beer, perhaps due to kegs mismatched to the labeled tap. Will... More

Had reservations, arrived early so they seated us right close to the door and in a very bright area. Nothing else available as there were 3 Christmas parties going on. Been years since we were here but we live about 40 minutes away. It was quite loud and very busy which I guess could be a good sign. Service was... More

We stopped here for lunch after visiting Adirondack animal land. The place was not very crowded and we were seated right away. The place was very large inside. We sat in a quiet table just off the bar area but we were not in the bar. They had a decent selection of salads, sandwiches and other lunch items at reasonable... More

I had the steak salad there and it was very good. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and is nice to go with your partner.

The restaurant while the decor was nice.. the waitstaff was very helpful.. the food was somewhat generic. Now while generic that doesn't mean that the food was bad.. because it was very good. The cocktails were really good. Overall a nice place.. but when your looking for something special.. you might want to go for a step above this one... More

I have made reservations here on a couple separate occasions and we didn't end up being seated until half an hour after our reservation time. The ingredients they use aren't always quality. I ordered a $30 seafood casserole and there was fake crab and it was covered in greasy cheese. I then ordered the chicken penne aka vodka and it... More

The early bird prime rib meat was so tender and flavorful, roasted just the way I love it. You never have to worry if the meat is going to be tough. The portion was quite adequate, and I ended up taking some home. The salad bar was good-the best part was the choice of the baked breads. The wait staff... More

This is always a great place for a meal. Portions are large, food is delicious, salad bar is very good, servers are professional and knowledgeable. Never disappointed.

I went there at lunch time. I had a seafood bake. It was imitation seafood in a cheesy sauce. I had to have French fries because they didn't serve baked or mashed at lunchtime. The desserts were huge served in a big stemmed glass. They appear to get a lot of business, I think it's the best the Amsterdam area... More

In 1980, the Raindancer Restaurant, located at 4582 Route 30, was established by Doreen and Walter Porath. This family-run business has grown considerably during the past 35 years. In an effort to stay current and better serve the community, the restaurant has had numerous additions, renovations and creative concepts that were implemented to keep things fresh. This constant improvement, combined with the old-fashioned notion of ample portions, quality ingredients, top-notch service and the community support we have continued to receive, has kept the Raindancer at the top of everyone's dining list throughout the years.

At the Raindancer, we offer different menus for all occasions. Whether it's a quiet, romantic dinner, casual dining, take-out and party platters or to help you plan a party, the Raindancer is here for you. We have multiple dining rooms available to help make that special occasion something extra special. We offer a banquet menu that can be customized to fit your special occasion. We can accommodate for bereavement luncheons, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, receptions or company business meetings.

We are open year-round with the exceptions of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Memorial Day. For all other holidays, we offer dinner features such as a traditional Thanksgiving dinner or a Mother's Day or Easter dinner for your family.

Our dinner and lite fare (lunch) menus are available throughout the restaurant anytime. Choose from a selection of over 80 items on our menu and our daily feature board (Polish Night is every Tuesday). Plus, we offer an exceptional salad bar with breads baked in-house daily. If you plan to eat at any earlier hour, we offer an early bird menu seven days a week. The Raindancer also offers any of our menu items, party platters and features for take-out (except the early bird menu). Just call ahead and your order will be ready at our pickup window.

And if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat, then join us in our cocktail lounge and enjoy great food, great atmosphere and a wide variety of wines and beer alongside one of our fireplaces. We offer over 80 Wines by the glass and 20 different beers on tap.

The Raindancer Restaurant opens at 11:30 am, Monday through Saturday and at 12:30 p.M. On Sundays. We look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner or your next special occasion.
