Either hot or cold Soba, the taste is superb!! For duo set of hot and cold, cold will serve first, then hot menu later. We will all enjoy the menu, and warming in cold weather!!! Enjoy it!!!

Great food, simple soba as suggested. I opted for hot soba as I was feeling cold. As a little free entree they gave out some black edename beans which had some spy on which was nice. Only drawback was that there was no English or picture menu!

The edamame (a local variety) were fantastic and worth the trip! Service was amazing--staff was apologetic that there noodles weren't gluten-free! Soba comes in three sizes--a double order is good if... More

It was winter... More

Matsumoto is known for the quality of its soba, so we asked the guest relations officer at our ryokan for a recommendation of a great, not just good soba restaurant. He directed us to this little eatery just behind Matsumoto Castle. It is a good idea to visit this historic castle and climb its steep internal stairs to work up... More
