I was lucky because the owners told me that they will be away for a month. The food was great with a nice atmosphere and enjoyed a friendly chat with Tony and Momo. John UK

We had a lovely evening tonight at The Cottage. We both had pizza, thin and crispy, just the way we like it. The tiramisu was good, too. Thank you to Momo and Tony for your hospitality.

Had been at The Cottage about a year and a half ago, so decided to call in again for dinner. Given a warm welcome. Had roast chicken for dinner, which hit the spot and washed it down with an Irish whiskey. The place is small which creates an intimate atmosphere and the food and drink are good - couldn't ask... After a week of Japanese food, we were looking for a nice alternative. What a great find! The pizza was wonderful. The bread freshly baked. The husband and wife team who own this restaurant are delightful hosts. Cannot say enough about how satisfied we were this restaurant. It's centrally located, too!

On the street just south of the Tokyu Hotel you can have fine Italian food (& also beef stew) prepared by an Englishman. The tiny Cottage deserves the high ratings it gets from this site and travel writers. It has only 15 chairs, so you get great personal (and friendly) service from chef Tony and his Japanese wife Momo. We... More

When "The Cottage" was recommended as a place where we should eat a number of things happend. First, we couldn't find it. Apparently The Cottage had moved and the TripAdvisor page hadn't been changed yet. After we found The Cottage we were greeted by a chef who didn't seem all that happy to see us. Within 5 seconds of us... More

To give credit: Irish and Japanese owners put a lot of effort in making a fresh pasta. But that was it. They certainly did not waste any costs on other ingredients as only tomato sauce was added to it. This does not do the trick however in making a great pasta. Real Italian pastas have more taste and flavor. The... More

We were ready for a break from Japanese food and The Cottage hit the spot with its small but perfect offering of pizza, pasta, salad and wine at a reasonable price. Momo is a delightful and often hilarious host. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the cozy atmosphere.

This is a cosy tiny restaurant which seats no more than 15 people. However, the food is excellent. The menu is limited with choice between a pizza of the day, a pasta, or a stew dish. We had a brief Fawlty Towers moment when ordering the dessert. Chef Tony had forgotten to make the tiramisu. That would not have been... More

I am traveling in Japan on vacation. I am an American bar tender and I've been in the food service industry for years. Prepare for a long review. TL;DR version: if you are in the mood for anything other than Japanese food and that can include Italian, come here. As for the person who left ONE star, utterly ridiculous. I... More
