The most known restaurant for Nagoya's famous delicacy Miso-Katsu. If this is your first Miso-Katsu experience, try half Miso (Nagoya style) and half "sauce" (common Japanese style). Tonkatsu tastes so different according to what you put on it, so you should try both types!

Famous restaurant, but I wasn't convinced if it was the best miso Katsu in nagoya. If you are in a hurry to taste authentic nagoya then would be an option. In my opinion.

Although many people are lined up I do not understand . Taste and service is also common . In the past, was a friendly price to businessmen .

I didn't expect the miso katsu to taste so good. I thought it would be like the miso in ramen and it's usually very salty. The portion is huge and very reasonably priced. I love the decor but also because I love pigs :)

Must try if you're around Nagoya! I'd tried the half half sauce and it is really nice, if you find it a bit too sweet, add the chilli powder into it. The others decided to try different pork with the special sauce, and I do recommend you try their recommended special pork set, I'd never tasted pork that's very tender... More

Everybody needs to experience to try “Waraji Tonkatsu”. There are so many local Tonkatsu (pork cutlet) tastes in Japan. In Nagoya area, the source for Tonkatsu is made of red soybean miso paste, which is a specialty of this area. This brown color and salty-sweet source is so delicious and out of your imagination. Asians or westerners could accept, welcome... More

Aichi prefecture is known for their aka miso and this regional dish pours the red miso over the traditional tonkatsu. I got the tonkatsu plate with half standard tonkatsu and half miso Katsu. I suggest sticking to the miso Katsu as that is the local specialty and either I found the miso Katsu tastier or their regular Katsu wasn't very... More

Although the sauce is a bit salty, but really good with the Tonkatsu! This store is bigger than the other stores. It has 3 floors and more seats available. I assume that means shorter queue haha.

Visited the restaurant located at LACHIC shopping mall and it is on one of the top floors of the building. The miso katsu is a Nagoya delicacy and we thought we should try it. The flavours are really rich and it was definitely an unexpected twist on a tonkatsu dish. However, I was overwhelmed by the rich miso taste after... More

30min wait on narrow steps. ¥2000 for a slab of tonkatsu with a sweet-savoury soy based sauce. Was prepared to be blown away given other people's reviews, but in the end, it tasted like a well prepared cutlet of tonkatsu with your run of the mill kikkoman branded tonkatsu sauce.
