Best unagi rice ever. Offer 3 ways to eat it, and love the original and soup way. Large bowl is more than enough for my wife and I. When arrived before 12pm on sun, the q was line super long with many turns. Luckily the...More

Just had heard of its great reputation for its fantastic eel rice combo set before I got to Nagoya, and definitely it left me perfect impression. The restaurant was a traditional Japanese mansion with a Japanese-style garden and pond, where I could easily appreciate such...More

Amazing restaurant! The wait was an hour but well worth it. The food was delicious and the service was really good. And being from NYC, the price wasn’t bad either about $55 for two people.

It is surely worth waiting for an hour in a long queue even on a terribly hot summer day. Once you get a bite, you'll forget it.

If you love unagi, this restaurant is a must! Unagi Hitsumabushi is a famous dish in Nagoya. I felt the portions were huge, but I wanted to finish every last bite because the eel and even the rice is top quality.

It was quite a bit of trouble for my family to get there, but the effort was worth it. The restaurant is in a traditional Japanese house in a very local area. The atmosphere once walked inside the garden was very authentic Japanese. We sat...More

It is the recommend dish when you go to Nagoya. It take about 1.30 hour for me to waiting but it worth. It’s smell good and delicious. It cost 3600 yen for regular size. Staff can speak english and very nice.

I guess we arrived there quite early, around 5PM, so we don't really have to line up to get into the restaurant. The eel itself is really delicious and overall it's a little bit salty for some people. The volume of each dish is quite...More

After visiting the shrine, a must place to have a meal. Unagi is oily which could only mean better quality of eel. The service was clockwork.

Recommended restaurant to taste a tasty eel in Nagoya. The queue around dinner time is pretty long but move quite fast. The must-try dish here is hitsumabushi.
