The falafel is spectacular—very crispy outside and nice, soft , and moist inside. The “burning eggplant” is not spicy but charred and tastes wonderful, too. The lamb offerings are appropriately cooked and seasoned, as are each of the potato dishes. In fact, the Greek potatoes were the best spuds I’ve eaten in quite some time. The pita is not dried out as is so often the case elsewhere. Service was swift and pleasant. I recommend this place highly.

On our way back from Niagara Falls to Rochester we grabbed lunch from Or by falafel bar and boy, it was so good. Everything. The dishes were big and generous and tasted just like food tastes in Israel - delicious . Can’t wait to be back there.

Excellent Middle Eastern food. Great service probably by owner, very friendly
Had all the staples; hummus, falafel, babaganoush, an excellent salad and excellent pita.
Wish we lived nearby.

This what we were looking for after a day of nostalgia and a UB football game. Great middle eastern food , wide variety . Right up there with food in Israel and NYC. Too bad we live far here, we would be regulars...

We quite enjoyed our meal. We had falafels and a spanakopita. Bothe were excellent. The place is very nice inside which one might not expect from the outside.

Falafel, lebenah and spicy carrots were great
Our wraps were very tasty- and enough for two meals!

Best Mediterranean we've found in many states. The hummus was creamy with a nice tang; the falafel and all the veggies were very fresh; the server was friendly yet professional, and the atmosphere brought back great memories of the Middle East.

My family and I lived in the Middle East for about a year and came to love the culture as well as the food. Since moving to Rochester, we have not been able to find the flavors to curb our cravings. Upon researching, I discovered Falafel Bar and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The service was incredible, especially considering the waitress was the only one working that evening. She was on point, efficient and kind. My family and I can't wait to go back! Thanks for such a memorable evening!

Great food, many vegan options!!
Always enjoy our meals.
Hummus is outstanding.
The burnt eggplant is very tasty, it includes;
Smoked eggplant prepared with pine nuts, garlic, lemon and raw tahini.

My vegetarian friend and I decided to lunch here to satisfy our craving of Middle Eastern foods and we were not dissapointed. The sole employee on duty, I assume was the owner who acted as cook, server and busboy. He was quite cheerful and efficient and we felt sorry for him since he did everything by himself. The food and service were great which was no small accomplishment given the number of diners present. I ordered the grape leaves as an appetizer and the spanakopita platter. My companion ordered the fried cauliflower and pickled carrots from the appetizer menu. We shared and truly, everything was very good. My only negative is that the chairs were hard to sit on, because I have no butt.

I had a flyer from Elderwood Lancaster that the truck was going to visit today. I went and had the falafel sampler and the Greek fries. I also took home the chicken souvlaki wrap for dinner.
This is the best falafel I have ever had! the fries were excellent and the wrap was also better than I usually have had in the past at other places.
I will be going to the restaurant.

Enjoyed our meal here. Had a falafel wrap which was very good, and the hummus that was homemade, I think she called it Israeli hummus? Was delicious, had to get extra pita though, as there never is enough! Will definitely have to come back again. Quaint quiet atmosphere.

I find this review somewhat difficult as this was our "risk" visit. First time at this establishment and total lack of knowledge of the culinary style.
So, we go with the process. Wine list has 6 or 7 by the glass. No bottles. No New York wines. They were out of their Riesling offering.
Soup. Special was black bean w/spinach. Onion, carrots, black beans and salt. and salt. and salt. Generous serving in unusual bowl. Not finished.
Entree was very good. Shawarma platter. Spit grilled chicken with chopped salad and an order of Saffron rice. The chicken was tender despite being thin/small sliced. Taste of lemon and hint of curry. Chopped salad is a dice of tomato, onion and cukes. Cold and fresh. Tasty. The saffron rice lacked any taste of saffron. It was yellow in color.
Baba Ganoush was a wonderful helping of smoked eggplant properly spiced.
Rice pudding. Large, generous serving. Not the usual sugar dump. Rather, one could actually taste the rice. Half the bowl was red hot, the other cool. Excessive cinnamon for my taste. One spoonful witnessed some rice grains yet to be cooked. That said, it was finished.
No vet nor senior discounts noted.

Came on a Sunday for their brunch. Actually, I think they call it "brunch" because it opens at 11:00 AM on Sundays. The menu is a list of several individual choices all priced separately. I enjoyed the french toast with raspberry sauce and an order of the potato pancakes which we shared. I was pleasantly surprised as I really am not a fan of falafel, but I soon realized that the menu was varied and had many choices of Mediterranean cuisine as well as dishes that appeal to the American palette. Don't let the restaurant name deter you away from here. Give it a try and I'm sure you'll also be delighted.

We visited the Falafel bar as a family excited because we have loved the food their food truck offers. When the waitress came over we asked about ingredients in some of the dishes, twice she replied "I have no idea what kinds of spices we use, sorry." She didn't offer to check with the kitchen. When we told her we couldn't eat the pitas and asked if they could substitute cucumbers for the hummus, she said "well not for free!" We explained that we were happy to pay extra for the cucumbers, she said okay. When the food came, she had forgotten to put in one of the orders and was very defensive about it saying it was the kitchen's fault and there was nothing she could do. She suggested that the order would be out in another 20 to 30 minutes if we wanted to wait. Instead of offering solutions, she continued to escalate the situation. The sad part of the story is that the food was delicious, but after being treated so rudely we won't return.
