The food is lovely. However, our birthday celebration was tainted by the rude and arrogant owner. He was condescending and impatient. It is definitely not what I would expect in an establishment like this. I will take my business elsewhere.

This restaurant has all of the elements that you would be looking for for a fine dining experience. Excellent location, cozy decor, professional and friendly service, awesome food and great wines. The bread and butter was wonderful. We had a bowl of pasta fagioli which...was so flavorful with tender pasta. My wife had the venison which was served medium rare and was the most delicious cut of meat. I had the veal Boscaiola which had a beautiful flavorful sauce. It was extremely tender. Whe had a reasonably price bottle of Chianti. The owner Frank works the restaurant to assure things run smoothly and his wife is the chef in the kitchen making all of this wonder cuisine. Their daughter Christine waited on us and did a perfect job. We make a special effort to stay an addition night in Buffalo just to dine in this restaurant. You need to definitely put this restaurant on your must experience. It will not disappoint!More

This is THE place to go to celebrate an occasion, to meet important people in your life, or to have an intimate dining experience. The specials are all creatively arranged with the desire to bring nuance to traditional dishes, and welcome surprises to the diner....For example, the polenta appetizer was set in a wonderful salad with truffle oil. The ravoli were stuffed with cheese and topped with truffles. We had the Chilean sea bass, and it was a special for the night. The fish was delicate, fresh and lightly spiced. The desserts are to die for. This is memorable dining, with an attentive staff, wonderful food and a beautiful ambiance. Go here!More

Went with my wife for our anniversary for the first time. We did not know where we wanted to go that was different so we did a bit of research. The reviews were all very good to excellent especially with regard to atmosphere. We took...a stab at it. We are happy we did. Though it does not look like much from the outside, on the inside it was absolutely true. The owner does meet you personally at your table if not at the door and the music they play in the background is both peaceful and pleasant. So nice to go to a place where the music did not require you to raise your voice to be heard even w me being a bit hard of hearing especially to background noice. The decor is very nice for lack of a better term at the moment. And the food selection was unique. So much so that it got us both to purchase desserts even though we had not intended to. The food itself that we had was either Very good to excellent. I’d highly recommend this place though it is a bit pricey. Still I have been in pricier ones but few, if any, that were better.More

Frank greets you at the door. His wife & all are all working just as hard to make your meal, the best. The intimate dining...delicious wines...breads make us feel like we're in a small town in Italy. Their seafood is fresh and wonderful. Steaks are...also prepared perfectly. There is not a salad that we don't love. Thank you Frank.....but especially Mrs. Grimaldi...the chef!!More

My husband brought me here for my birthday in April. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner. Fast forward 6 months and we decided to see if this establishment was consistent and made reservations for our wedding anniversary. From the greeting by Mr. Grimaldi and friendly wait...staff to the most amazing menu selection; it was a perfect evening. When compared to the other “Top Italian Restaurants” in the area, San Marco’s is in a league of its own. Definitely the place to go for a special occasion. However, we may just stop in again when we are in the mood for a great meal.More

From the greeting at the door to the final goodbye, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Then there’s the food! Home baked bread is served warm at the beginning of your meal. We had an oxtail pasta starter that was beyond delicious. The Bolognese was...just right and had a little sweetness to it. We all had veal dishes for the main course. I didn’t taste the others but my Vitello Nona Was excellent. Loved the gelato and biscotti too!More

I love this place because it's everything one could expect in a sophisticated, understated, family run Italian Restaurant. You will dine in a comfortable room with white table cloths, an attentive host, and a delicious varied menu. The prices are similar to less impressive area...establishments.More

Our table of four was very pleased with our friendly and professional waitress, inviting atmosphere and high quality food. We were greeted by the owner and seated promptly. Fresh and crisp greens in both the Caesar and arugula salads. The Italian bread was freshly baked...and yummy (we could have easily eaten a whole loaf!). One guest ordered the Filet mignon, another the strip steak. Both said they were tender and delicious. My husband opted for one of the evening specials, venison, served medium rare. He loved it! I went for the red snapper that was grilled and served with a fennel and fresh tomato reduction. Very tasty but a little on the salty side. All entrees came with roasted potatoes and fresh carrots, zucchini and yellow squash. Our guests had room for dessert and ordered the warmed apple pie served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. They devoured their plates. Restrooms are clean, ample Parking. Although a little pricey, it’s worth it. We will definitely return.More

Not far from Buffalo and the airport, this restaurant is a true gem. My wife and I arrived a bit earlier than regular dinner time but were seated promptly, and the restaurant started to fill up soon after, not a surprise after we looked at...the menu and sampled the cuisine. My wife and I enjoyed the two chicken dishes, Milanese and Trastevere, and they were both wonderful with tender chicken in sauces worth getting the last drop with a bit of bread at the end. This is a white tablecloth place, and the service and atmosphere lived up to it. Wouldn't miss this on another trip to Buffalo.More

Great place to take a date, a spouse, a client, or a few friends. Anything you order will be cooked to perfection. The owner, Frank Grimaldi, visits all the tables and often takes the orders. He makes sure that everything is perfect. The structure is...small and easy to miss, but once inside you will love the atmosphere, the tasteful decor and the aromas. I have often been tempted to actually lick the plate. You can't go wrong with San Marco as your destination for dinner. My most recent visit was with a group of girlfriends celebrating a milestone. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely.More
