The restaurant offers authentic Chinese food, but it’s just okay. We got dimsum and a couple other entrees. The eggplant was good. The restaurant is not very clean, either. Had trouble finding good Chinese food in this area.
We came here because of the reviews, but I now see that those reviews were from 2018, a bit outdated, so here is a new one for you. The best item here are the free oranges at the end, we tried four dim sum items...and they were awful, see the pictures for yourself. There is a weird smell in all of them, the ingredients I think are fine but perhaps getting close to expiry. These are not authentic Chinese dim sum, nor are they American Chinese either. My advise to avoid this place altogether, if you are looking for some decent dim sum.More
Wow! The food here, especially the more "authentic" items (read that: not your typical Americanized Chinese dishes) are packed with flavor, heat, and ingredients that those more typical dishes don't highlight. Where the decor is nothing special, the service is very good and attentive. There...is a party room, a drama series with Chinese subtitles, which plays on overhead TVs, portions are large, prices are moderate, and you can take your time savoring the hot chilies, the fresh ginger, the perfectly cooked whole fish, and wash it all down with a mellow TsingTao beer.More
I went this restaurant with my friends. We four ordered a lot dish. Some are spicy! Which I liked. I highly recommend the spicy fish, rich, spicy and salty. My friend liked pan fried shrimp a lot, very delicious. I think for four of us,...we ordered a lot of food. Crystal restaurant was not playing around. All food were really good. I will come again!More
This is the best, most authentic, Chinese Restaurant in Buffalo. Now I have to confess, my experience was somewhat influenced by my friend Ken Hu who is from mainland China. He was returning a favor and knew that I liked Chinese food and he told...me he would take me out for the real thing. This, my fellow diners is the "the real thing." He ordered a series of dishes that steared clear of the ubiquitous platos of General Tso's and chow main and we were served a soup fish soup that was out of this world, a tofu dish that was equaly complex and spicey (something I would never order, but would most assuredly request again) and Hong Kong Shrimp. One dish was better than the next and my host indicated that this was much more like what one would expect to find in NYC as opposed to Toronto. He want on to explain that each of the offerings was indigenous to a different region in China, from Shanghai to, Human, to Hong Kong proper. The ambiance is upscale but incredibly quaint. This is the place for foodies who know the difference. Cannot wait to take some of my friends there. Double WOW!! Ok, Make that a triple Wow!!!More
Quiet restaurant with nice decor. Orders are placed on an iPad. Staff cheerfully explains items on the menu. We have been here twice for the Dim Sum (Sat 11.30 AM to 4 pm & Sunday noon to 4 pm.) Twenty-three items are listed on the...paper Dim Sum menu, the electronic menu has more items & there are specials on the board. The regular menu is also available. The restaurant is just off the University of Buffalo South Campus. Lots of students dine here.More
